- SGNL by Sony is back with another gadget teardown. This time, we opened up the Sony's 7.2 Ch Hi-RES Wi-Fi Network A/V Receiver - the STR-DN1050 - to take a peak at how such powerful sound comes together.
Hey there!
I bought a used Sony STR DN-1060 few days ago which was working like a charm until I couldnt see the home menu on my tv. I thought to do a factory reset and then update it so I did the factory reset by holding the power button for 5 seconds. Then it started to blink "CLEARING" and it never stopped.. It does that in like 5 hours now. Tried to unplug it and wait 1 hour but no luck..
Any advice please? Thank you!
Nice internal architecture! I've been a fan of Sony for a long time.

Hi I just had the same problem, i took it in for repair and they replaced the main PCB board, works great now.
I need to buy a Sony Receiver STR-DN1050 HDMI Board, where i buy??
Is the a Transformer made out of Copper/Iron, how much is the true watts?
Do you know what could cause the on screen display to go out?
The cord of the screen may be unplugged
My Display Panel also broke. Did you manage to fix the issue? If so, can I have some tips?
Lets just tear apart a $2000 home theater receiver for absolutely no reason at all...
Fun, eh!
YOU THINK?!
lol!

The whole point was to show the quality components that go into this receiver.
You noticed that Sony themselves did it? They build like 1000 of these units every single day. Who cares if they take one apart.
They still using the same MN2488 and MP1620 power transistors since 2001
Not a bad thing i hope... If it ain't broken don't fix right?
@@TheJoeMB Actually those power transistor are good enough, many manufacturers are using it, i mean Sanken transistors .
Sad how a cheaply made piece of junk is supposed to be good nowadays! I am praying to God for my TA-VA777ES to work 4ever! :/
Well. I wanted to buy this, but your marketing sucks and you couldn't compete in southeast asia, so I had to buy a competing product.
So, because the marketing "sucks" you bought another (perhaps worser) receiver?
Makes sense...
their marketing sucks, nobody buys their stuff here, so they don't even carry the product line in the region anymore.
So it's not that I bought something else because their marketing sucks. It's I CAN'T buy it because their marketing sucks.
Buy it online?
