Just wanted to say a quick thanks for the recommendations. My wishlist recently went from 7 to 160 in a matter of weeks. So far the games I put on my wishlist that were released in that time have been awesome that I never would have heard about if not for this channel. Thank you again.
I've been a fan of your channel for a few years now and you, among others, inspired me to start my own series focusing on hidden gem mobile games. The first episode just came out and I have tons of content in the works. Sharing the games I dig up with the community is my pleasure and I know you have the same mindset with your content. Keep up the great work!
Man, Chrono Sword. I remember feeling hyped for that one years ago. Then nothing. I won't believe it's actually coming out until I am playing it. That top three list is killer, though. I am incredibly excited for all of them. It's fun to see the Souls-like genre growing. Lies of P (which was obviously not on your list) was made by a South Korean studio. Enotria: The Last Song is Italian. Black Myth: Wukong is Chinese. And Nine Sols comes from Taiwan. I'm excited to see the genre growing and what will come out of this period of experimentation.
Another solid video man. The top 4 look great and Sang The Desert Blade is a good find, hadn't heard of it. Enjoying your newsletter too, thanks again!
I was shook when you made the Johnny Walker reference 😂. Spiked my interest in that game by about 10x! Also very surprised No Rest For The Wicked didn’t make the list.
@@ClemmyGames I could watch the highlights of him getting knocked out over and over hahaha. I was praying he beat Ankalaev just so we could get the golden looney tune knockout from Pereira.
Pleasantly surprised that AI Limit is still alive, an re-surfaced with a release window, no less. The initial showing many China Joys ago made it look a lot more like Nier Automata, but this Code Vein-esque new look is pretty neat. Not mentioned here, I'm also looking forward to Morbid: The Lords of Ire (got a May release date), as well as Flintlock: Siege of Dawn. Nacon will be showing off GreedFall II next week, hopefully that has a release window as well
@@ClemmyGames definitely. I'm hoping Mandragora, Gestalt Steam and Cinder and Exophobia get a release date soon. Also looking forward to No Rest For The Wicked and Forgive Me Father 1.O late this year.
@@ClemmyGames Oh, it was just a joke. I know everyone likes to poke at him for his "Soulike" reviews not being soulikes most of the time, so I though it was funny when you kind of mentioned that with that one game
It is my first comment, probably the last too. I am pretty bad with english, but from what i gathered, you removed three incoming games from this list because of NFT, right ? I just wanted to say : nice choice !
Dang Clemmy, tell us how you really feel about NFTs. Not that I disagree, but not used to that many bleeps in a row on your videos. Also, good to know you watch Iron Pineapple too
AI Limit - Gotta agree graphics help this one stand-out in an (action-) packed field! Think the anime visuals differentiate it and it just needs excellent animation and combat quality to stack up. Black Myth Wukong - Another one with visual flair but with Chinese mythology theme. I honestly don't have any interest to mix the muddy and mirky waters of politics into my leisure hobby interests and so have no interest in that subject, one that seems to deceive most those most ardently attached to it, a bit like Tokien's ring of power? Thank you for the correct tonal pronunciations of Mandarin for this title! Helps a lot as they're not very easy for English-speaking ears! Journey To The West Myth is an absolute classic and fingers-crossed (not for the last time!) this will serve up justice to that story with sumptious souls-like combat. Nine Souls - Holy hell! Possibly the pick of the best? Immediately looks amazing and number 1 material in a stacked field. Simple things: Clarity of visual information, crispness of physics movement and combine in combat decision-making with interesting challenges and you have a top title! It's that simple...
Like some others I got annoyed by the Souls like Tag and sometimes it might have been used wrong. I played a Dark Souls game once and the combination wasn't my thing. I think I endured it at least for a few bosses. Sooo for a while I just assumed it's bad too, could be in your videos that I finally decited to give it a chance and had at least a blast with Nine Souls. It should have been a combination of these things.@@ClemmyGames
Mimicry without depth of narrative really makes these games soulless (ironically). AI Limit is just Code Vein Nier Generica. And the Sekiro knockoff is pathetically copy-and-paste. Alterborn looks neat, if only because it copies Remnant, which distinguishes it a little. As for the rest, I will just wait for my Shadow of the Erdtree fix.
People these days don't seem to have time for adventure games. Is it because I'm sick of mass-produced games? Is it a game of the same genre that only enthusiasts enjoy?
@@ClemmyGames not only that, one critique I have on it, invencible rolls kind denies the concept of spacing on a souls like combat, u just roll through everything, sometimes I think devs should look back into castlevania's back dash, since they want a more grounded approach and to be more faithful on how the combat works, after all the combat becomes a loop of 2 hits roll through the enemy, 2 hits and roll through again.
Thanks for mentioning Sang again. I'm working very hard to make it the best it can be!
The number of titles is impressive. Indie is life!
yeah!

160! And i thought my 40 games long whislist was actually long...

Great recommendations, and thanks for not adding NFT related games

Exactly!
BAD BORO MENTIONED RAAAHHHHHHHH
Another solid video man. The top 4 look great and Sang The Desert Blade is a good find, hadn't heard of it. Enjoying your newsletter too, thanks again!
"Chrono sword" reminds me of "Eitr" (R.I.P. little angel).
rip
Wait wait wait... Eitr is definitely dead? 🥺
was actually starting to think you forgot nine sols
:o
If Iron Pinnaple mentioned Njorun's Will, then it must be a souls-like, alright.
ok
He also played Another's Crab Treasure and Bad Boro, iirc
I was shook when you made the Johnny Walker reference 😂. Spiked my interest in that game by about 10x!
Also very surprised No Rest For The Wicked didn’t make the list.
Probably because it's more of an Action RPG.
Funniest Looney Tunes man in MMA

He's so entertaining and is just a wild man, but unless something in his style changes up, I doubt we see him as champ@@SaintlyAncapLJ
i feel sorry for number 3 Enotria the last song, releasing on the same day as the elden ring DLC has got to be rough
I read today that they are moving the date.

Neither of those games have a stamina meter which makes disqualifies them from this list but they appear in Clemmy's other vids.
Covered morbid and flintlock in the action rpg video th-cam.com/video/o4WVhm-gbeE/w-d-xo.html
Yeah AI limit was an interesting resurgence
I had to pause and rewind the video because your web 3 comments had me HOWLING!!!! ❤❤❤
Awesome list as always. A little bummed Skelethrone didn’t make the cut as it will definitely be released this year and is a killer soulslike!
hmm
I really want 9 Sols, Crowsworn, Mandragora and The Devil within Satgat.
good picks
All these games look Awesome 💯👏🏻
What a time to be alive 😮
good games
NFT's could be part of a fun interplayer trading system that had nothing to do with monetization, but the aftermarket will monetize it, so . . .
Never heard of Vapor World. Will keep my eye on it.
the first one looks incredible
Souls like can be fun but we don't need EVERY game to be souls like. Hope we get back to variety again soon.
Oh, never mind it's a souls like list. Derp.
Bad Boro just went on my list
Thanks Clemmy ☺️
nice

Entropia need to move the date of the release. Same day shadow of the erdtree comes out.
Yeah I noticed that too. They couldn’t have a worse date…
Been waiting for this one. Have you seen any other Souls-Like Multiplayer PVP focused games?
Critter crosser is a fun game. You should show it some time in one of your videos.
He did yesterday ‼️
@@champ215fcp I cant find it. which video did he show Critter Crosser in
exactly.
why are you commenting this on EVERY video?

What was going about with steam
I'd love to convince you to mention Codex Lost in your next video...
I see some great games on the horizon
Dungeons Deep looks like an indie or Double-A dev got tired of Capcom sitting on the Deep Down concept and decided to make their own.
huh! Did not know about that, thanks
nine sole nr 1 ? no way

I had to turn closed caption on to see what he was saying lol.
I respect how you went off on Steam allowing web3 garbage on the platform.
So annoying
i cannot believe he didnt mention nine sols
:o
So, you added, seemingly good games, and then removed them because developers did what exactly? Had blockchain features in the games?
As they should, that stuff is a plague
@@Mark-xp4sr it could be fine, never saw good games with blockchain stuff. Maybe some game with "Ember" in it's name, forgot it, but it looked decent

Morbid: The Lords of Ire .I wait
