    Hello Gary! Sorry I haven't posted any comments to you but I had a tragedy happen. My dad passed away two weeks ago this Sunday. I got to spend some time with him before he passed, I'm okay just really miss him. Anyway thanks for holding that and my wife will message you tomorrow have a great day.

    Very cool to see someone doing Buell content. I'm converting my CR currently to the firebolt head. Was curious, where you sourced your new ignition? The CR's is far too long and will need to be converted. Thanks in advance

      I found a bunch of parts on fb marketplace that helped me convert it. Ebay also usually has a lot of available parts. Some stuff you can even get brand new online from St. Pauls HD!

    I thought the CR had different handlebars? Nice work! Seems I'm late to the party. I love my R, but I sure would prefer the bars to be higher and further back. I guess Buell was working on an SX version but I don't know if that went into production.

      You could get the clubman (low bars) or the high bar kit for the 1125cr's. I've had them both as well as the 1125r model and found the CR high bars to be more comfortable.

    are you able to take the two ram air cowlings off, would look cleaner i think?

      Not unless something custom is done. Those pods are where the radiators are

    Side radiator scoopes are so dam ugly .... Look so much better with out those an hide lil fans some how

    How is the CR headlight hooked on the lower triple? Aren't there any holes?

      Check out my original conversion series. At 12:34 in this vid (th-cam.com/video/YR67vzFzyQ4/w-d-xo.html) you should get a better idea how the CR headlight is secured.

      @@lutzgebhardt9387 You're welcome. Just to clarify the R and CR lower triple tree's are the same. It's the upper tripple that is different. Both models have the 2 lower holes needed for the CR headlight, it's just the R version doesn't utilize those holes.

      @@WeakestofWeeks Nope, my early 1125R does NOT have these holes. Thats is why i asked. But "missing holes" are not a problem, if you can drill. 🙂

      @@lutzgebhardt9387 Oh interesting good to know! An 08 I've worked on before had them but could've been a late 08 or possibly swapped after an accident. At least if you have the CR headlight you can get an idea where to drill.

      They're very hard to find these days. I was lucky enough to find a seller on ebay (vintagepartsinc) that had a few new old stock ones for sale. At this point in time I think they sold them all. Search ebay and possibly FB marketplace and you maybe able to pick up a used one.
