My daughter and son in law bought me an older Dixie chopper but I'll tell you what ......I love this machine every time I get on It's a pleasure😀
You've got some great kids! Glad you're enjoying your Chopper!
2760 classic.. Purchased it new 4 years ago and not a single issue.. 27 is plenty of power for hills and taller grass. I like setting up high as well. I can see rocks or stumps better than some mowers that set real low.. I strongly recommend Dixie
The Classic 2760KW is pretty bulletproof! Glad your machine continues to perform well.
We have a 60” classic and 74” xcaliber. Both are great mowers. Over built, over powered and cut beautifully.
The classic has better cut quality. The xcaliber has better hillside stability.
Only complaint is the springer forks, we had issues with the springer forks and had to pay out of pocket to replace them with the standard solid forks. Dixie chopper will not warranty bent springer forks, only broken ones.
From our experience, these mowers have withstood extreme mowing conditions. Mowing down tall grass and tree saplings. Chewing up hidden objects such as metal, asphalt, rocks and debris without damage to the mower or deck.
Also will cut over grown 8” - 12” thick turf grass with little to no clumping. These mowers disperse clipping very well and throw clippings an impressive three mower widths.
The 74” xcaliber mower will mow an impressive amount of grass in a short amount of time. With the right operator it can keep up with our exmark 96”
Thanks for the thorough review! Appreciate the support.
I have a 2760 classic. 5 years old and going strong… built like a tank
Glad to hear it!
Planning on getting a new classic this year. Kinda sad to see the carpet and the balloon tires are gone though, i always loved the way they looked
We still offer the Turf Boss tires to mount on the Classic and XCaliber! No more carpet though. :)
I got a Magnum 50 Classic .i love it ..i got it used for 3500.00 . I bet i spent 6k on 4 different residential mowers for my rough 2 acers of yard .the yard just beat me and the mowers to death over the past 21yrs. The seat and arm rests are comfy well for a mower anyway. Great design tough mower built very well. I love the exit gate so i can mow right by vehicles with out worrying about stuff hitting the vehicles and then open it back up with out stopping .truely great machiene..i need a deck drive belt though mine starting to want to jump off.. it lasted 10 yrs of commerical mowing before it wore dn. No conplaints here happy camper..

Is the classic a successor to the xt3200? I can't seem to find any specs for it. Does it also have a 2000lb towing capacity?
They're very similar. The XT had smaller wheel motors for the 15mph ground speed, but the overall design is basically the same. We've changed the deck lift design, front end including the floor pan, wheel motors, engine options: wx4gs308cz91lb4mz17esz01-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/DC-2022-Classic-Tear-Sheet.pdf
@@DixieChopperMowers does it also have the 2000lb towing capacity?
@@andrewk8636 Yes sir!
i have a classic, 160 hours on it, gear box blew a seal leaked oil out, cost me 1100 today, and im on my 3rd pto switch, must have bought the lemon lol
Was it not covered under warranty?
Why did y’all stop selling the classic in the 50 in deck? 60 is too big for suburban yards
Demand has continued to decrease for the 50" model.
I need kitchen sink hahaha
