Narkanda is a city in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. It is 60 kilometers from Shimla. The town is surrounded by Himalayan mountains, apple orchards, and dense forests of pine, fir, and deodar. Narkanda is known for its scenic beauty, skiing, and winter sports. The HPTDC has been offering skiing courses in Narkanda since 1980. The town is also a gateway to the apple country of Himachal Pradesh.
Here are some things to do in Narkanda: Explore apple orchards, Hike in the forests, Visit Hatu Peak, Trek to Hatu Peak, and Visit the Hatu Mata Temple.
The best time to visit Narkanda is April-June for pleasant weather and outdoor activities, or December-February for winter sports.
