Welcome to the unveiling of CADLink's Digital Factory 11, the next level of RIP (Raster Image Processor) Software, designed to push the boundaries of DTF (Direct to Film) printing 🚀🎨. Building upon the success of Digital Factory 10, the latest version brings innovative features, including variable white underbase technology, to help you create flawless DTF transfers 👌💥.
Digital Factory 10 was known for its impressive handling of the white underbase, reducing the possibility of flooding with black ink and improving the overall hand feel of the transfers. Now, Digital Factory 11 takes that technology a step further, introducing variable white underbase not just under black, but all darker colors 🌈🖨️.
The role of the white underbase in DTF is crucial, providing protection for graphic colors against darker garments, aiding in adhesive powder attachment, and giving transfers their signature stretchiness 🧩🛡️. With the latest CADLink Digital Factory, you'll notice a remarkable difference in the consistency of the white underbase across images, and the effect on gradients is truly something to behold 🌟.
In this video, we'll explore side-by-side comparisons between Digital Factory 10 and 11, showcasing how the darker colors have reduced white under them in the latest version, leading to truer reproductions of black and other dark hues 📊🔍.
Join us in exploring this technological advancement by CADLink and see why Digital Factory is regarded as the best RIP software for direct to film in the market. If you're passionate about DTF and want to stay at the forefront of RIP software technology, this video is for you! 🎥👏

Do you have to set it up to do the variable underbase or does it just do it automatically? I'm not seeing the same results as you have in your example in this.

For Mimaki... Settings for this is from the top menu: Queue Properties: White and color options: Select Underbase and highlight radio button: Underbase strength to 23 40% white under black... Maximum White ink is 75... Highlight white strength 85... Choke I have set to 5... I think that refers to pixels and I only send 300 ppi to the printer.

i'd do a lower choke. I like 2-3 most of the time, especially if your graphic is really detailed with fine lines.

    Hello,
first of all: your TH-cam videos are great and we are big fans! :-)
I hope its ok to ask a question because it is really frustrating at the moment.
We use a Mamaki Txf150 since 4 months now. We have printed about 400 meters and we used about 12 white ink packages for that. To be specific, we used 12x white, 2x black, 2x yellow, 1x magenta, 1 cyan. Now we have the feeling that we use too much white ink and since it is pretty expensive we would like to check if we use the correct settings. We use CADlink and what is your suggestion for a cost-efficient setting (what underbase setting for example)?
Thank you so much and kind regards form Germany

what Rip software are you using with it?

Thanks for this. When I reduce the underbase max white ink, it also makes the white color from the design less white. Is there a way to avoid that?

If you have Digital Factory 11 there is also an option for Highlight White and you can set a higher number for areas that are just white. You can make the overall 60 and have the high light white set to 70 or 80.

We don't tend to have too many issues but like any other software there are multiple factors that play into their performance on certain PC's. Reach out to CADLinks technical support for specific help with your software.

you need to use a PNG file or a PDF that has transparency info embedded in it.
