In this video, Ro is joined by first-time wig wearer, Lisa and her friend Sue. Lisa was diagnosed with alopecia and is experiencing hair loss. She and Sue flew into our CA store, to have a wig consultation with Ro and find the perfect wig for Lisa. Before meeting Ro, Lisa put together a list of wigs and colors she wanted to see, which included pageboy wigs, layered wigs, lace front wigs, wavy wigs and even a hand-tied wig. Ro brought these for Lisa to try, as well as a few "wild cards" of her own. Watch as Lisa tries top pieces and then wigs, and ultimately finds the wig she feels most comfortable in. It's amazing to see how many styles look great on Lisa! Enjoy :)

I was meant to watch this particular video. Lisa and I have very similar natural hair..and the same color too. My hair is just a bit finer and the clips in the hair pieces slip out so don't think that's an option for me anymore.. The wig styles and colors you are selecting for her are what I would try on as well. Thank you....it's as though I was sitting there myself. Lisa looks fabulous in all the selections!

Lisa looks good in Diana Marble Brown, but I think she looks very pretty in Aria Marble Brown.

Hi Happy, I double checked and probably what you're noticing as different is because Sasha is longer length, so you really see the highlights more. Freedom is layered with shorter hair - it reflects light differently and seems different. It's the same, thanks for sharing! Ro

The topper in Ginger Brown looked great on Lisa! Also, Aria in Marble Brown frames her face... So pretty! Chloe was a cute look, but I like the marble brown on her. Dakota was cute too! Diana was pretty. So natural looking! I like Trixie on her also. Freedom too. I love my Freedom!! Oh my!! How does one decide?!! lol I wouldn't mind seeing some different styles on a plus size model. I must say that a video from one of your stores is a great change of scenery. I really must visit next time I go to see family in California. Lisa certainly had a whole new world opened up for her. I sympathize with any woman who is suffering from hair loss, and I think that alopecia must be especially heartbreaking. Some of the wigs you tried on her really opened her eyes. My oen eye opener is Chloe. I have two that persist in pretending they're mops. I'm going to call your Helper Line and ask for some tips to get the most out of them.

I have alopecia, as well. I have tried all remedies, injections and paid lots of money but nothing worked. Your videos have inspired me and I'm very excited to try more than one for sure. Tell Lisa I have the same issue with thinning right in the front and very little eyebrows. She looks great in Aria and Dakota, but she could wear many of the styles.

Ro I am so enchanted in your positivity! If I didn’t live clear across the country in New England, I would be on a plane in a nano second. Not kidding! You answered a question I had , which was I have white hair would it show through your wigs (you mentioned that when they questioned the monofilament). I assume that is true for all wigs? I know toppers won’t work for me unless they are white. I had to go to a local person for my first try of wigs. It looks like Chloe. But I want more! I love Different colors and styles❤ Everything you’ve said in the many, many videos I’ve watched, you have said everything I learned during my one visit. I’m feeling somewhat like a stalker at this point. By the way I’m a Gemini also…my husband never knows what he is waking up to. 😊
Hi Matilda! Yes, you won't see any hair colors under a wig. The only area you could see is at the temple near the ear. If you need, try our "Masc-A-Grey" hair mascara wand. We have it in several colors and it works great! Thanks for sharing everything! xo Ro
What a beautiful experience. I thought that I traveled a long way from NW Arizona a few yrs back. 300 miles. My husband wz so kind to take me on a litl detour to your store in Woodland Hills on r way 2 San Diego. But, no matter how far, it is truly worth the experience. Hav 2 share this cute experience --> We parked in street on side of store, as we walked in the rear entrance the hubster noticed the closer parking places by back door. So, while I wz being welcomed in & starting 2 try on wigs he went back out 2 move the car closer. When he came back in I wz wearing a beautiful full blonde wig & standing up with the employee looking at the wigs on shelves. My husband walks up to us & asks us where his wife went. Ha ! He didn't recognize me in the wig. 😳🙃🤣

I also was diagnosed with Alopecia a few years back😵💫 I went thru the same problems with sprays trying to hide it. I shaved my head instead of trying to hide it - I was only fooling myself! I have and wear wigs! Still haven’t found on I love!

Wonder how hot toppers and wigs are in the summer & if you need glue for all of them. I am a Wig Virgin & a no fuss no must person. I've been wanting to buy wigs and toppers but I'm terrified of buying the wrong thing cause I'm really bad at returning things so I don't want to get stuck with something that I can't see and try on ahead of time. I wear wigs because I have Lupus and all of my hair in the front of my head is gone and I decided to cut what was left off.I am good with wear wigs and I sometimes will. Make my own wigs so they can fit my head.

I'm gobsmacked that she's not wearing a wig cap considering the fact that she is wearing fibres in her hair. it's a safety and hygiene issue and unfair to another buyer of your merchandise.
Hi Molly, You would be absolutely right - if our wigs were human hair. But, we do not carry human hair wigs - partly for what you're describing. In my 40 years of working with wigs and thousands of women at expos, stores, hospitals, etc. never has there been ANY issue for anyone because our wigs are high quality synthetic - which means plastic. Like trying on sunglasses or a hat - wigs are the same. And, if a client ever requests a wig cap - we respect her and give her one to take home with her. Wig caps are one method to hide and keep your hair secure under a wig. At the same time, wig caps can be a bit hot and uncomfortable if you wear them for long periods of time. Clipped back, it was stunning on Lisa and gave her a thinner and younger look...she was adorable! That would be a definite "date night" look for her.
It's always fascinated me how wigs look totally different on different faces; just like with hairstyles, choosing a wig to enhance your face shape can really make a difference as you demonstrated here with "Katie."
I think a video showing different face shapes with the same wig would be very interesting.

I will say that she's doing an excellent job with disguising her alopecia with the product(s) she is using. It was not at all noticeable. The topper would be perfect for now until she needs more. She looked nice in all of them but I love the Dakota on her. She looks like a cool girl in that!

I am very curious .. You always say, bring the top of the wig to your hair line. What to do with a "widow"s peak?
Hi Jean, to me, it depends on the size of your forehead. You can try to use a rattail comb and after your wig is on, pull out just a touch of your hair at the peak to work in with the hairline of the wig. Trim some bangs on the wig to work in with your own peak hair. I trust you to try it different ways and see what looks best - trust yourself! xo Ro

I love all of your videos, but I can relate to Lisa. My hair loss is similar, it's mostly in the front, and on the top of my head. It's getting harder to hide with sprays and powders. @@GodivasSecretWigs I was chatty:) I'm losing my front bang area and keep looking for a Very non- fluffy topper. (Just had "the haircut from hell"; 4" long hair all over.) Wigs I've bought in lieu of the hairloss coming on are Way too thick and fake looking; so don't want to feel like an old fool. So, I'll keep looking online. Needed to vent! :)

I love a wig party! Lisa, you're going to love wig wearing, it is so easy to put a little makeup on and put on your hair, fiddle just a few seconds and you are ready! You'll cut so much time off your morning routine but be prepared, people are going to compliment you, even strangers. Excellent choice, Diana looks great and just long enough to pull it back for a classy look. I might have to consider this one myself. Marble Brown is such a good color and the highlights just make it look natural. Thanks for sharing and have a great week!

I have very fine hair and have 4 bald patches, your videos gave me the courage to try wigs and your wigs gave me confidence I had lost. I am a big fan and with so many positive experiences since I started wearing your wigs, I am eager to see more ladies and men step out and try wigs. I get excited, like you, each time a wig virgin tries your wigs. The smile they get is so wonderful and I know that feeling when a person sees themselves with the right style and color, it's like your hair just grew back in better than before. Added bonus, the wigs make us all look younger. There's no better deal out there.
