    Such a shame that it have such an ugly front end because the rest of the car looks great. The black trim definitely help a lot but it is still not a looker. Still, look better than that melted blob EQS.

    I can understand BMW's sticky situation with the grille. Makes complete sense on the Rolls Royce Spectre and the i7 has to be the scapegoat for that to happen.

    No matter what trim level I'm going for, I will always like to be in charge of the car's driving and let all those driving assist systems play their auxiliary roles. Nothing compares to being in charge of the game yourself. In my humble opinion it's a great car and I can't wait to drive some.

    The new BMW 7 Series sadly doesn't have an option for a heads up display, although it is available in other countries. I won't be swapping our current 7 series anytime soon.

    I love it, but am not a fan of all the aggressive looking grills that are on so many of the cars these days. I'd prefer a more lavish and aerodynamic looking frontend. How I do wish there were a model with basic features that could get close to a price that the average driver might afford. For now I'm forced to just dream about winning the lottery.

    An amazing car indeed! I honestly had not even given a thought to owning another 7 series again after leaving the segment alone with the introduction of those disappointing & disastrous e65 e66 model renditions. My 95 e38 V12 750iL was a great upgrade from my 90 750iL V12 way back when and is and continues to be a car with which I'll never part. But suffice to say, i will definitely consider this incarnation. Well, after a couple years of that inevitable depreciation sets in of course my friends. Thanks for the great video. 😉

    I’ve had more cars than Arthur Daley over the years from Lada’s to Rolls Royce’s and everything in between. I currently drive a 2016 manual Suzuki Celerio and absolutely love it. 70mpg, no road tax, and an engine that doesn’t need Einstein to work on. After watching this video on the ‘Elephant Man’ styled i7 (and plenty of other ‘fancy dan’ and overly bloated electric cars) I’ve come to the conclusion that there are so many unnecessary and overpriced gadgets on these things. ie those ridiculous opening doors. How do we all manage with our hand under the handle actions we’ve been doing?! I know my car is the complete polar opposite but what a load of unnecessary guff these manufacturers are selling. A fool and their money are soon parted. Now, trolls…knock yourselves out!

      What a tough sale it should have been considering the ravage of the ever-lasting pandemic and the hovering multiple global crises;
      Fortunately, people are not buying into most TH-camrs' glib cajolery, at least where I live, very scarce orders.

    The 31" screen is a dealbreaker, it is useless and blocks the pano roof (as well as rear view mirror), for someone who has used a tablet for last 10 years or so, the 31" screen will never be as good as a $200 tablet that can be placed anywhere in the car (the tablet can also have 512GB or more of storage for thousand hours of storage and live tv)...after all the passengers are only 8 inches away. Almost as useless as Tesla's 15" tablet when HUD and 8" display in front of driver provides safer and better needed information. It seems like car makers are taking advantage of consumers lack of knowledge.....same with the 23" tires that are useless, more prone to wear issues, back breaking rides and ten times more costly.

    Terrible ugly grill. Does not look aerodynamic so hard to fathom that calculated cd rating. In the US I find people getting away from that over ostentatious interior. Money needs to go into watt hours per mile instead of big screens that suck up more energy and not able to use from the buyers/driver's perspective unless you can afford a chauffeur.

    It's therefore very heavy, less efficient, smaller interior compared to Pure EV platform car of this size. It's drag coefficient is much worse than EQS Model S and Nio ET7.
    It's transmission tunnel running at the back has nothing inside, a reminder of compromise.

    I just don't get it. I've owned BMWs for years but their design language is all over the shop. The fact that there's no need for that gaping grille just makes it more daft. They're just ugly, no other way to describe them. No way I'm even going to test drive one until they sort the looks out, despite how well they undoubtedly drive. Reminds me of the Bangle years all over again 😐

IMO the black looks even worse than chrome, just looks like plastic to me, and when it is lit up it is OH SO TACKY!!! Having owned an E38 this seems sacrilegious to me, I know tech=luxury these days but christmas tree lights on the bonnet will always look bad no matter who installs it or how much it costs as a factory option.
