I’m a big fan of most of the players in this all star game. Especially Wayne Gretzky and Bourque. But even if they choose the captain, aside from Gretzky, wouldn’t it have been appropriate to give it to Mark?

I'm glad they didn't, Mark Messier is persona non grata in Vancouver, most hated player in team history.
