I don't think the glove section will change at all. To open a lot of the doors later on, you *need* the grab pack, and you can't progress until the video ends and the case opens, even if you go out of bounds. I think it will be a permanent time loss unfortunately.
(Unless they just remove the video entirely and just make the case openable by hand.)
