@Grigeral Well yeah that too. I can listen to a drum and rattle and 2 drums but thats about it. I really like the 2 drums especially if they are beating them one after the other.
@Somespatanwarrior For me, I find varying beats helps. It tends to tear me out of a typical meditation into something that feals more spiritual. I think I read somewhere also that shamans used to use different rhythms to induce various states of mind, depending in what they wanted to do.
I think if you truly wanted to do a shamanic journey it would be best to just have a straight drum I find it helps you focus more. Because when you listen to music you enjoy it and it just kind of gets you off track. But do whatever you find best.
