I've never owned or used Hourglass powders before. However this year the packaging was just so stunning I had to try them. I got the Jellyfish palette and the #2 palette in the Owl packaging. I didn't care about existing shades because I don't have any. I've been using them daily since I received them and I'm Obsessed. The powders are so stunning and go onto the skin beautifully. I'm in my late 40's and they look stunning on aging skin. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
This is the endorsement I needed to hear. I’m 41, and now I have to watch what I put on my skin, because wrinkles. I’m search of powders that don’t make my under eyes look older, concealer and foundations that doesn’t settle. Open to suggestions. I ordered the Givenchy Prisme Libre powder and the Hourglass palette (in owl component). Now I just need an aging skin friendly concealer.
@simplyrowen Have you tried the new Natasha Denona concealer? It is hands down my absolute favorite. I've never been one to use concealer until I bought hers. I keep a lighter color for under my eyes and a skin matching one for spot concealing. It's amazing. The other powder I recommend is the Jaclyn X Robin Powder Move loose setting powder. I'm not a Jaclyn fan at all but that powder has been my every day go to until I picked up the Hourglass palettes. I have one more recommendation for you if you are looking for skincare that will amaze you. If you lookup Agency Skincare it is hands down the best thing I've ever done for my skin. I am 47 and my skin has totally transformed using their Future Formula and their Dark Spot formula. It is essentially an online dermatologist and they prescribed Tretinoin for anti aging and Hydroquinone for dark spot correction. I have been a faithful customer for about 2 years now. I think I pay $90 every 2 months and it is AMAZING. I saw fantastic results in about 3 months. I could send you my before and after pics if you are curious. You can also get a free 1 month trial with them. They also have cleanser and moisturizer but I skip on those. Anyway hope you find everything that works for you 💜
I got the jellyfish pallet in the Owl package. It’s all powders I didn’t have in my collection. I use the finishing powders as a subtle highlighter. For those highlighter powders that are more intense. I put them on first and then blend my blush and bronzers over them. It really helps them.
I ordered the leopard palette but with the jellyfish case. I did not buy any of last years palettes so there are four new shades for me, I have both dim light and mood exposure is another older palette but I really like them both so don't mind having extra of those. Thanks for the video.
I think you should get the owl packaging with one of the palettes inside! It’s a good way to explain to people how they can customize them! I love that Hourglass lets us customize, hopefully in the future we can customize all the shades we want!!!
The only time I ordered the Hourglass palette was years ago, and I got the one with four pans in it. I waited too long for last year’s elephant palette, and it was already sold out. Now I’m glad I waited, because I ordered the jellyfish palette, and was finally able to get the owl case for it!

I'm happy with the look of all these. I would particularly love to have that highlight from Jellyfish in a single pan. I have the Butterfly palette from last year, but with regard bronzers, I wasn't mad about the lack of. I feel that people have preferences with regard undertones for bronzers and its the least thing thats universal for all when theres a choice between 3 palettes.
For the Aussie audience ,I emailed hourglass on the release date for Australia as Hourglass does not deliver to us . Apparently the 22nd Sept at Mecca stores in Australia 🇦🇺 Hope this helps , I will definitely be watching and waiting😊

I bought the older Universe palette last year as my first and I also love it. I don’t mind the bronzer, strategically placed, but the powder I use more as a soft highlighter. This year I took the plunge and bought palette 1, but in the leopard packaging. I’m quite happy with it, but I don’t foresee myself buying more of these palettes.

@@oceanbird. If you’re ok with the cost, I do think it’s a good way to test their formula out. And the baked formulas do last quite a while. I already purchased a full size of the finishing powder diffused light, because I love it so much. Especially with a code, I think getting full sizes of what you know you’ll really use is best bang for your buck in the long run.
There is something magical about hourglass powders. Just when you think you have to give up powders as your skin matures, enter Hourglass. My skin is blurred and glowing and beautiful. I recommend using Sonia G’s buffer pro or smooth buffer to blend the finishing powders - and the effect is nothing short of magic. There is nothing else in my very large collection that can work the same magic as hourglass. The strobe lights I used to pass without trying, but now I love using as eyeshadow, and can be buffed into the skin on the cheeks to subdue them. I am so giddy with the Jellyfish this year (I have it in the snake packaging) if you can’t tell!

I got the lightest one. I am absolutely in love with it. I usually don’t buy HG, I don’t buy it on a regular basis. I am pumped, gorgeous colors and it feels high end which I appreciate. I’m getting 4 new shades, only the two setting powders is what I have from my ghost palette.

The Tiger pallet from last year was much more deep/ dark friendly. Perfect for my complexion despite not having a bronzer. It has become top shelf! The Ambient Lighting Volume 3 even better chefs 💋. This years snake pallet is ok. But for someone my complexion I can only use 3 of the 6 six shades. I only care for 2. The bronzer unfortunately doesn’t bronze. I do enjoy the blushes but overall very disappointed for the price. I agree with the comment regarding the glowy blush formula. I should have passed. I’ll be more careful moving forward. Lesson learned. An expensive lesson 😂 I’m considering returning it but… we will see. The Jellyfish pallet looks gorgeous on you enjoy!
I plan to buy the jellyfish palette for my first hourglass palette. Like you I don't want warm bronzers, and last year's light palette was too redundant. It's like they are finally listening about cool tones! Now if only there were more deep shades.
These palettes look big on camera, but they're quite small in store. Every year I'm tempted to get one, but I can never rationalize the price for such small pans. I'll pass, but fun to watch! 😊
It really takes the tiniest bit of product. I have one one palette that I have been using regularly for over a year, I’ve hardly made a dent in it. They will come to Ulta I think on the 22 if you have points to use.

I have many of the hourglass palettes. They are the best on the market in my opinion. This year I only bought Jellyfish. It is ridiculous that they keep going up in price. I think they are still worth it though.

Your comparisons to previous year's was super helpful! I ordered the leopard with the second colour way because the only hourglass products I own is the ghost blush palette and one blush single. I know I will use all the shades in the leopard so it was a good purchase for me expensive but I think it will be worthwhile. I know the quality is good so I wasn't concerned with that but I still want full customization with the outside and the inside and honestly wish they could get a catalogue where you choose the colours but seriously have to hope that is coming.
I got my palettes today too after a delay 😅 I got the same exact color stories but in the owl (jellyfish inside) & the leopard (snake inside) ❤ I’m a light to medium skin tone so I can make both palettes work 😊 I hope that people at least knew about all the codes going around for 10% off because it helped ! Finally HG powders look best on the face & in person (real life) 🥰 I’ve been using them for years & I remember completely panning their first 3 pan ambient lighting palette ; I’d get so many compliments; also keep in mind which brushes you go in with because that’ll affect how the powders apply on the skin (goat hair brushes pick up more product than say squirrel hair) & yes they are “fool proof” & easy to apply & blend ❤ I’m excited to use my palettes & I had to have that owl; it’s stunning ! I’m a parrot mom so yeah crazy bird lady here ! Loved the palettes on you Patty ❤
I don’t mind it being $90, but give us the option to customize it to be the ideal palette. A single unused shade in these prebuilt palettes makes it not worth that price.
I have to be honest here....if you don't have one, this is a great time to get this palette. However, I have one palette from them, and I find that I use it every day. So, for me, it's a pass. However, I do want one of those blushes, so I'll just pick it up in a mini!
