The best compliment that I can give to this project is - unlike others that look great but feel like showrooms - this one feels like actual people live there, and it's beautiful and cozy at the same time. Good job!
This has been in my Pinterest favourites for a very long time. I can only dream about living somewhere like this. It’s everything I love and I congratulate you on creating a home which is beautiful, well crafted and sympathetic to its environment. Just divine!
It's the first time a modern minimalist house doesn't look sterile and uninhabitable. I love the way they've laid out the kitchen, which shows that it's being used while remaining tidy.
This is the type of home I would like to be designing at my workplace. I always look forward to these videos. It's become a great way to learn how designers are creating around the globe. So valuable. Thank you for sharing, and regularly bringing this content.
I am fortunate to live in a Brisbane house designed by Brian Donovan (then of ) Donovan Hill 23 years ago. I can see how their work has contributed to the emergent Queensland vernacular in this jewel of a project. It must be a joy to live in. Bravo Cavill Architects and all involved.
I love the idea of a house that is a pleasure to live in AND a beauty to look at for its neighbors. I would LOVE to have this house next to mine. It's not this concrete, grey bunker that a lot of modern architecture is reduced to, but almost a living thing, with colorful plants growing out of it and on top of it. Neighbors must love it! And, I am not too familiar with Brisbane's climate besides knowing its very hot, but if you can actually open all those sliding doors and enjoy it for most of the year, it's just perfect. The only thing I didn't like is that raw concrete ceiling - nothing Italian about that (unless you talk about the Pantheon or something). It doesn't have an Italian influence to me, and I've been to all of Italy besides Sardinia.
Once I had translated the archispeak into plain English, I quite liked the building. So thank you for the opportunity to conceptualise the form and set its handling of a more delicate sensibility into context.
😂 I kept thinking 'this is why I never actually read architecture books - the jargon is too strong' but also couldn't fault him for the content of the babble. It could have been so wonderful if he had imagined himself to be speaking to the neighbours
I really love this. So sensitive and focusing on drinking in the green garden on all levels and between levels without destroying the land below❤. I like the top lit and bottom lit approach and thoughtfulness re neighbours. I grew up in a federation house with that same beautiful thrown render. Congratulations on your home.
Like most of the comment here, this is something I'd like to see more featured in this channel. More and more of the houses featured seems unattainable, large mansion, concrete bunker-ish type of look that (maybe there's an audience to that) This house is something I personally can relate and connect with, beautiful home, bravo and congrats for the owner!
What a beautiful house! As a lifelong interior- and architecture fan it is sad to realize that one will never own a house like this. But thank you so much for these series, I can keep dreaming 🤗... Best regards from Germany with it's (most) socialistic (new buildings) architecture 🤐🤐🫢🫢🏢🏢🏢
I like the gardens, but find the interior to be a bit jumbled, what with the different levels on the ground floor and different wall elements (arches, brick inserts mixed in with other elements) upstairs. Doesn’t flow as well as it could and feels unnecessarily cramped. I realise that makes me an outlier in this comments section, so maybe I’m missing something.
Your neighbours has zero privacy with that garden looking right in their home. I don t like this sheep style urbanism, without no privacy just for some greedy people to make more money.
Nice but inefficient space usage and bad sustainability regarding materials. Doesn't matter...blow out the resources as long as there's enough for us today 😂

A small jungle in a big stone metropolis is so cool))

It's been a while since I saw this much beauty in a single home. What a breath-taking design...
The use of skylights and low windows is really effective and the interior feels soft and inviting despite all the hard materials - well done.

me gustaria que tu sueño se hiciera realidad.
one of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen. Couldnt fault anything about this home. The garden & plants are incredible
I really hope this kind of biophilic architectural design becomes more widespread. It's a beautiful home.
This esthetic is so pleasing to look at but the way these spaces make a person feel is sublime!

Such a serene and beautiful home.
The interior decor is sophisticated yet cozy, the perfect combination!
It’s giving Donovan Hill. Responds so well to our sub-tropical environment. Love the integration of the creek bed.
This home really connects you to the nature. Thank you Local Project
This is beautiful. This channel was so calming. I love watching it with a nice cup of tea.😄
Plain brilliant gardener.
such a gorgeous home! lot of detailed sophisticated takes!
Thank you for the wider angle shots - much appreciated! :)

Congratulations. This is a very special blend of home and gardenscape. Thank you so much for sharing.

Wooowh. How peaceful
It's beautifully designed yet cozy, striking a perfect balance between style and comfort. Fantastic work!

Beautiful! It’s very in keeping with the location and feels like one is in a space that breaks the boundary between inside and outisde.
Absolutely beautiful
Pure architecture, thank you
Everything is aesthetic 🏠
Such a beautiful unique project. So rich
A dream of a home. Superb!
Beautiful home, incredible grading

Stunning!❤
Gorgeous
The well-off are always preserving the "language" and "materiality" of the urban areas they "celebrate" (gentrify).
素敵!外に住んでる様ですね。
私もそんな家に住みたいです。
Muito lindo e funcional.!!
it's so beautiful!!!!!
Such a beautiful house!!
its definitely my taste❤✨
Meravigliosa!
Love it
What’s the name of that hanging plant with flowers? I couldn’t stop looking at it
Thunbergia mysorensis
@@peteshields3950 could you please also provide the name of the multi stem tree in that enclosed courtyard. Thank you
Nice
Who is the artist that made the kitchen sculpture? It is the upright log with the colours on it.
😍❤️
The house is gorgeous, of course. But is it normal in Australia that houses sit so tightly together?? Seems nearly claustrophobic!
Really? Please do us a favour and never go there then
@@Aussiearoundtheworld ....as u did moving to EU? lol
the architect defined it as "close relationship with the neighbors...." 3:20
Depends where you are. In the “inner city” in an old row of workers cottages - yes.
Yes, it’s tight. For a foreigner it is a bit of a shock.
does anyone know what type of tree they have in the middle of the house? the one with the cascading orange flowers
First! I've always wanted to do that 😊. Great production as always
:D Congrats
❤
Nice house... but why are the gardens in Australia so small ?
It is an urban setting.
I like the gardens, but find the interior to be a bit jumbled, what with the different levels on the ground floor and different wall elements (arches, brick inserts mixed in with other elements) upstairs. Beautiful home. the speakers word speak was a little off putting for me
Unpretentious and comfortable just being lived-in
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
out of topic but why is everyone who's named Cavill good-looking?????
Pretentious narration. Nice project.

What?
Some of Australia looks really good like this house in neighborhood but other parts of Australia look like the worst of suburban America😂
Nice but inefficient space usage and bad sustainability regarding materials. Doesn't matter...blow out the resources as long as there's enough for us today 😂
One of the great things about living in Australia, is there's no mosquitoes 😂😂😂
