This guide was extremely useful and a good launching pad for a place to start. As someone who wants to create content this was useful not only for the combos but, editing and transitions. As someone who started tekken with someone like leo a very easy character to use and learn, I decided picking up on hwoarang because I think it's time I use others too my friends are tired of me spamming leo. Playing this character is like traversing to a different world where you can't apply the common sense you have.
Good choice switching to hwoarang. You're gonna love it. He's a very technical character. I've been playing with him for 8 years and still haven't figured out all the stuff. There are too many possibilities with this character
@@Justlookingaround19 I agree with the addition of b1 1+2 made leo a lot easier but I avoid using that I save tornado for the wall and the classic b1, 4 start just have better wall carry because b1, 4 has many combo routes while b1 1+2 only connects to bok stance and while at it 1, 2 is the only option to go by the combo.

@@pettyking9084 its actually not a microdash that's needed. When you get to the u4,4 part, you need to NOT SPAM 4. Only press the 2nd 4 when the first 4 connects ✌️
Yes, it still works. You need to time the last kick correctly for it to connect. Avoid spamming the inputs during the last u4,4 segment. Only press the second 4 once the first one has connected.
does the first combo just not connect to Kazuya? I'm doing everything right. is my timing just off? I keep missing the command grab at the end by like a hair. and I'm using F3+4. Also assuming RFF actually means RS. I don't see it in the legend at the beginning of the vid
How do you time your flying eagle perfectly every time? It can’t be a case of speed, i believe there’s a trick to it. i wanna do it everytime but its so hard to land 1 in 10 attempts.
Instead of sliding across the middle of the 3 and 4, try sliding the edges of the button. At least, that's how I do it on pad. You have to press the input really quick. It's very tricky and requires a lot of practice.

I dont know why on jfsr combo after tornado and dash with switch stance almost always 3~4 doesn't work for me 2:13 , if i do the movement so fast after change stance is like press only 3, if i wait a little bit he does 3~4 but doesnt connect, but in b3 combo that part works always for me 0:46, if you have any advice, thanks you for your video, greetings from Venezuela
@@numbonaroof thanks i'm doing that and works good on b3 combo, the problem is the backlash on sky rocket combo, most of the times don't do the backlash, is like the Game only recognize the input 3 from 3~4, but it's weird because in the others situations the backlash is easy to do
0:13 he's in RFS (right flamingo stance). You go into LFS (left flamingo stance) by pressing f3. In the combo, I transitioned into LFS after UF3+4 by holding forward.
Memorising the combo is one thing hard enough, performing it is another. 😢 Seem to never be quick enough to make the 2nd kick hit at 0:38 the Up 4 Up 4. Always misses for me
I can never do the forward 3+4 then immediately press 3,4 right after for the roundhouse kick😢this is literally like the only thing keeping me from playing hwoarang but i really want to play him but i cant get this kick input down
In the 3 1st combos, why F3+4 after tornado instead of 3+4 to switch stance? Microdash? Backlash after tornado is something I often can't connect, don't know what I'm doing wrong. So I mostly go for dash 3+4 f3 which I strangely land more consistently. Nice combo guide anyway

You're lucky Leo doesn't need to use KNK cancels in T8 for optimum damage 😂

You have the delay the timing on 3,4, u4,4. It's a bit tricky

I’ve been having this same problem, so do you delay the 3,4? But keep the up 4,4 the same speed? It’s hard to get consistently down.

Try doing a micro dash after u3,2 and delay the 3,4, u4,4 a little and it should connect

It works with every character. You have to dash for the last bicycle kick to connect after 3+4>3~4

When you switch stance after tornado, try holding forward when switching and then press 3~4. It should connect. Let me know if that works for you

If you hold forward while pressing 3+4 it makes it easy to switch stance(at least for me) that's why I added it there
