I am in the process of making a mock Seirus Magnemask combo Clava. I needed something that would stylishly cover my face yet let me breath. Didn’t want the traditional ski mask that smashes your hair. I hike in sometimes frigid cold temps. Can’t afford the $50 for this one of a kind Magnemask Balaclava and it only comes in black. I used a face mask from the Dollar Tree to begin my pattern. The fabric is auto headliner (soft foam yet rigid enough to stand on its own). I cut slits for the breathing holes rather than the small air holes the original has. Finishing out the design right now. I’m sure you could do a tutorial on this. Was looking for a knock off pattern when I found your channel. No one has done this yet. You’re welcome to contact me. Not in the you tube business and have no desire to create a pattern to be shared but it’s simple enough you might. 😊

How did you get the look that's on your mannequin? Cause there's no way you can get that look with the pattern. The thicker part that hangs falls to the back. Can you show how you put it on?

This is awesome! If I wanted to have just the reversible hood minus the scarf part, would I just sew the bottom parts together (with space in the middle to pull it out) and then do the final stitch?
Yes...that small space in the middle is for to pull out and then do the final stitch all the way round

everything is clear until you thread the cord... I am not sure how you thread it and goes through the eyelet?

Nice tutorial, thank you. Oy vey lol if I had a dollar for every time you said “go ahead and” Voice over tutorials tend to say that a lot. Or “now we’re going to” (which is kind of obvious that it’s “now” and that we are going to do something. Another popular overuse is “you’re going to want to” - again, overstating an obvious. Sorry, it’s the writer and mom in me; wanting to help. I hope the feedback is helpful. Thank you for showing us this method and I appreciate the free pattern.

What are the measurements of scarf?
Doesn’t show how to get it looking like it does on the dummy. Great scarf and video though, love it.
I’m not quite sure how u thread the cord? Does it go on the front edge of the hood, loose inside? You don’t show why you need it & how to put it on
gaylemae the end of video shows him about to put the cord through those eyelet holes that he put on. You thread it through like normal and pull through the other side, what it does is makes it so you can tighten your hood or just for looks.
