  • The Electric Vehicle Aircraft (or EVA) space is growing at a breakneck pace. More and more companies are throwing their hat in the ring to grab a piece of the estimated $1.5 trillion space by 2040. These aircraft range from short distance taxis to personal flying vehicles.
Hey everybody, I'm Nick DiMatteo and today we present to you The top 10 electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (EVTOLs) that are the closest to production. There are personal and commercial flying cars and taxis on this list.

Human ingenuity...what a great time to be alive!! Drones, rockets, fusion, AI...Kirk going for a real rocket ride...these are the things that make me proud to be human...in 1940 the world doubled its knowledge every 8 years...in 2010 is doubled its knowledge in 11 hours...in 1972 IBM built a mainframe for NASA and gave it a problem to solve which would take a 1000 years...in 2002 Intel built a mainframe for NASA and gave it the same problem and it took less than a second to solve...computers are technically 50 million times their initial in 30 years and that was 20 years ago now...we are on the verge of something spectacular, so spectacular that what we have dreamt is nothing in comparison to what we will achieve...the era of Star Trek has begun, like in the past, automatic door, handheld PDA's, CAT, MRI scanning...this era we will be known as the "manipulators of matter" or the shape shifters...lol

@@Canuck_ ...and the scary thing is that mechanical armies will replace humans...androids will be the 22nd century military...funny thing is, just a few short years ago...movies like Terminator, Robocop were just comic book style movies...look now...drones, Tesla's robot, Boston Dynamic's robots, Ameca, DARPA, after that we'll start turning human's in to Borg's.

@@ChadLuciano The stunning, last day increase in "knowledge & travel speed" was prophesied 2,500 yrs ago in the Bible (Daniel 12:4).. About "travel speed" , the ongoing project for Elon Musk hyper loop train, there at Dubai, UAE- it was a magLev kind, the train car was floating 2 inches above the rail, will travel inside an air vacuumed tube- to reduced impact friction caused by train body collision with air- wugh claimed travel speed of 600-800 km. per hour- as fast as the common jumbo comml. jet liner!..
In air travel, the design of hyper. sonic comm'l. jet airlines- was already finalized as of year 2020- covid lockdown delayed its prototype development.. Accordingly, the common 22. hrs duration flight to any point in the earth- same flight time will be done by only 22. hrs duration!.. Subject hyper. sonic plane will be powered by a combination of rocket engine on its initial stage, then by jet engine, then by ramjet for 1. hour total duration... Then its ramjet engine will be shut. off- so the subject plane will travel by inertia, momentum- toward its destination, for the remaining 1. hour of flight schedule... In short: You can do a "shopping errand" in any part of the globe - in 12. hrs time frame!.. Leave your nation at 6.am time - and back to your nation at 6.pm time!...

The formula 2 hover seems like the most accessible to adopting to todays regulations by law. They offer the highest level of convenience which is a major selling point in my opinion. From your drive way to the parking lot. That’s optimal design. When you think about range and flight time, the average person really doesn’t need that much. I think the formula 2 hover is on the right track. What they have already accomplished by design is huge. This could cut daily commuter times for simply going to work and back by large margin.

#9,#7, #4 & #1 are sensible designes, Most of the crafts had excessive exposures of propeller blades & in obstructive views, or was too small cockpits or multi mini engines, or lacked horizontal velocity. What consumers want is a craft that can travel compact in metropolitan areas as a car doing 55~85mph and easly convert vtol, plus eventual airplane speed & flight glide and eventually safety able.

I would like some clarification about on what basis the models were rated from 1-10? For me, the range would have been the basis to rate them in top 10, most of these dont go even a 100 miles, but there were some which go beyond 500 miles. So my classification would have been range, or maybe make another video about eVitols wrt range. that would be cool.

EVE sounds the closest to production, and the most practical since it addresses user error (flown by pilots), community impact (low noise design), and air traffic safety (developing an urban air traffic control system, that hopefully also addresses bird strikes). Otherwise, I really hope we don't end up with a bunch of loud mini-Bezos wannabes crashing their hydrogen/lithium bombs with propellers after a night of drinking.

With today's dabblers, it will be a rather short range of time to deliver such a HUGE amplifier. Looking forward to the thrust of such a dream!

William-Crosby Jones Seems that it might be already invented. There are plenty of experiments with super cooling magnets that cause them to hover. If we can jump with relative ease then it doesn’t seem to be much to over come. Makes you think if we can measure it then why can we not overcome it.
