Been there a half a dozen times. It keeps getting more and more crowded, but its charm still overcomes it. It's really a neat town outside the ancient city part as well. Fun place to rent a bike or scooter. if you are up for an amazing ride, take a long day trip on a scooter and ride up to Hai van pass, spectacular scenery. Moving north in Vietnam is going to keep getting better and better. Can't wait for you to keep discovering more about this amazing country.
I've also heard many people complain that Hoi An is getting more crowded, but they forget that they themselves are contributing to that crowding. Sometimes the crowd is what our hearts long for.
Just subscribed. I’ve been to the places you two have visited and way older too.But I enjoy watching your adventures coz it’s raw. You don’t pretend to know everything about the places you’re visiting but have the willingness to learn. Travel is a form of education.
Their videos give me that same feel. It was years ago that I set off on a 3 month backpacking journey through SE Asia. The new sights, sounds and even smells (not always pleasant) made me realize every day that I was living a special time in my life. These two are so full of the spirit and wonder that grabs a traveler on a grand adventure.
Whenever I visit a friend who lives in Hoi An she takes me to a new place that I've never been before. Over the years I've developed my favorites, but there always seems to be something interesting or unexpected to see.
My personal favourite in all of Vietnam. Can't go wrong with Hoi An. If you're still there, make sure to try "Phi Banh Mi" which is a lesser-known but the best banh mi
I just stumbled on you guys while I was researching our upcoming trip to Vietnam. You guys are so stinking cute and I appreciate your videos so much. I decided to NOT do the sleeper bus as a result of your experience. Well I had read about all the negatives but then saw your video and was like nope. And so sad that the bridge in Hoi An is under construction :( at least I know adead of time!! Keep keeping on this amazing journey you guys are on!!! PS.... silly goosery "So Hannah whacha tryin to put in your mouth tonight" chatter was hysterical!!! Sending you some coffee $$!
Hi Jill and Hannah I was worried that you were not going to Hoi An, so excited to have you both there, for me absolutely all about the glowing lanterns absolutely riding the boat and the yummy food, that is why I want to go so bad.Japanese bridge has Ben under construction for a long time. Grilled meats on a stick at night markets are a must in my opinion. Pork looked delicious. Outstanding All Around
My friend and I are doing a month in VN next year before I stay in southeast asia for aome time. We're going from north to south, and to his dismay i refysed to budge on a week in Hoi An. He's worked me down to 5 days with the fact that i can just go back lol. I'll end up basing out of Da Nang for some time if I like it enough, just a stone's throw out. I can already taste the cao lau and moui
"What does the inside look like?" - surprised Hannah didn't chirp in with her catchphrase "That's what she said" 🙃 Glad you finally ditched the elephant pants...Keep rockin*!
@19:56 Vietnam does do drinks well. From what I understand, Starbucks has had real trouble trying to make inroads into Vietnam because the competition is so tough.
@@JillandHannah There is apparently 92 branches of Starbucks in Vietnam, according to Google, but I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't seen any. You are right. Vietnam doesn't really need them as local coffee shops are cheaper and arguably much better than Starbucks. I read somewhere that Vietnamese also prefer the stronger Robusta beans as opposed to the lighter Arabica beans that Starbucks uses. I know that Da Nang has a Starbucks near the beach, and apparently even Hoi An has one that opened in Dec. of 2022.
So many good souvenirs. Il will go back this winter from Da Nang. Almost Quiet and beautiful during the day then after 4:00 pm the tourist buses arrive for the lanterns. It gets very crowded but still beautiful. It was also fun to see tourists dressed with Vietnamese clothing. And most of all Korean couples dressed with matching patterns and colours. 😂
After those many steps around Nam, would be embarrassed to remove my shoes. Afraid the foot massage lady would say, "Shew wee, you no lucky today, now git !!!!!" Always enjoy your videos.
So.....Chinese tourists vacation to Hoi An specifically to see Chinese temples and sights? Did I get that right? It's kinda like Americans flocking to Paris to just eat the same bland American food (which they do). Either way, I do not get it.
It’s refreshing to watch you two travel and explore Vietnam.
You two have become really good at this especially with the editing. Thanks for entertaining me and I look forward to seeing more.
Thanks so much!

Yep. I would second that. Phi Banh Mi in Hoi An has great sandwiches.

You guys are great. I loved it so much I moved to Vietnam.

Hey, just so you know, they said a month wasn't even enough to see Vietnam (family here). It was such a beautiful country.
5 days is plenty for Hoi An! Have fun!

Glad you finally ditched the elephant pants...Keep rockin*!
We will never ditch the elephant pants lol but thank you 😂
I’m glad you saw Hoi An! Da Nang next?
Good choice of music! Yeah, fruit tea is my favorite too.
@13:54 Cau Lau is so delicious. I'm headed back to Vietnam at the end of the month to get my fill of it.

Yeah I don’t think we’ve seen any Starbucks! Vietnam doesn’t need them!

Nice ❤❤❤
They called mango cake cuz the shape of the cake like a mango, not the mango flavour 😂

Hahaha I think they’re used to the dirty tourist feet 😂

Not sure how you managed to go there and it wasn't packed! I was there on a middle of a weekday and it was still busy.
2:00 Coconut coffee and salt coffee are what you go for, not the peanut butter coffee 🤣
I will visit Vietnam at the end of October. Should I completely avoid Ho An because of the weather?
Tourists saying other tourists are annoying 😂 when I see westerners in my country, I find them annoying too 😅
