I tried making money by delivering food for Uber Eats using a 250W motor electric bike during rush hour on a weekday evening.

I think the ending of your videos is always rushed. You should make a clip where you’re back in the studio summing up expenses, time, earning etc.
it’s to increase the % of video people watch and to stop them clicking off the video when they know it’s the end, it makes the algorithm think people watch the entire video so they push it into more people’s recommendations
I don’t think so he introduces the experiment and then you watch it.
That's a lot of likes! I'll make sure to run through the stats in the new type of video this year in 2024 and onwards 😁 thanks dude
I think you're going to like my new style of video starting to come out either Feb or Mar 2024 where I'm just trying to make as much money as possible with a cash balance on screen at all times and that tracks across all future videos, where all cash in and cash out are reflected in the cash balance
@@Holstead That will be amazing to see.
D'oh, below minimum wage. Thumbs up for providing honest numbers.
slow to get orders though...
-bike rental
Loving this series! I'd say you still should factor in the cost of the bike vs omitting it altogether, since it very much plays into profit. Maybe adjust to 1/7 of the weekly rental cost compared to your earnings from the day-- or finish out the full week and show the results from there. Super excited for the next installment!
Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear you're enjoying it 😊
Feel like this could easily have been a 20min video, but very enjoyable nonetheless.
I'll keep that in mind, thanks! 😁
i've never even seen an e-bike irl. it's always just those electric scooters scattered all over the city
Glad to see you happy it makes me happy
😊
Good video! I feel as if the video is a bit short, which is something I've noticed with many of your videos. Of course, this doesn't mean you should focus more on quantity instead of your usual quality. What falls short is there doesn't seem to be a propper ending that satisfies the viewer. I noticed a viewer stated that the ending felt rush which I don't agree with, but definitely something to keep note. Love the content and how the videos are made so don't stop what you are doing!
Thanks! The videos will also be longer, like 10-25 mins
Brilliant video John! How much did the missus make?
@@Holstead I can imagine!
Not as much as me but she also didn't do it for long
The best I've managed is around UK minimum wage best-case scenario. More usually it's £8-10/hr average in my experience
@@Holstead thanks for replying! I did it on the sode around christmas and managed to average around £14 per hour of driving. Not taking fuel into account though!
Always a good day when you upload. You should try an e-skooter next maybe?
Thanks for the suggestion!
i assume an e-bike is sorta like those low cc motorbikes that aren't allowed on freeways. just the advantage that you don't need to put gas in it
They are more a normal bicycle but it adds extra power to your peddling so rather than being like a motor bike it’s just making your peddling much more powerful.
I think your issue is that paradoxically doing this in a large city is why you didn't do well in terms of pay earned. You have to think there's probably 500+ other people doing the exact same thing as you on multiple different apps. I live in a small or medium sized city and I'd make triple minimum wage at times, and that's taking into account I'm using a Tesla which does cost more to charge than using an ebike (though my electricity rates are dirt cheap so that even offsets it)
Glad to hear it's working well for you 😊 There's probably a sweet middle ground somewhere for city population
So much hassle for a side hustle 🤨
I'm testing out different side hustles, remember that this is a main source of income for a lot of people 😊
buy a fast escooter

I think your videos feel a bit too impersonal to me. It might be excessive editing or the intro? It feels like I'm watching a mr beast video but not as interesting. It was worse when you specified everything in dollars but you changed that which is nice
Maybe the content just feels outdated, like something that would do well a few years ago but it's like I have a constant awareness of how everything is engineered to artificially keep me engaged. I don't feel the same when I watch eg Max Fosh, which is a similar channel I think. Idk, this might be waffle, only ever been a youtube consumer
