    I'm a veteran, was actually addicted to alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with OCD. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

      YES very sure of Dr.alishrooms. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.

      Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Thank you for sharing this point!

      I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.

      I was horrifically depressed since childhood. It was relentless. I assumed it would ultimately end me somehow. About twelve years ago I randomly accepted the offer from a friend of a few doses of mushrooms. I did them two consecutive nights alone. First night was pretty mild. The second night? Wow. I saw my depression from every angle, realized much. Next day: depression totally gone. Never came back, never coming back. It's like it's a forest far away I can remember, and could probably find again with enough effort, but it has zero impact on anything in my life or mind. They honestly saved my life and improved it immensely. I never did them again, either. I wish there was a good, organized way to administer them to people who would benefit from them.

      Same with me. I work as an email support. I'm using the same templates for my email and yet I still check the email I'm going to send multiple times. It's like my brain is telling there's something wrong with my email.

    I'm 13 and I have OCD. It is very bad. Every day, I need to walk a certain way, touch certain things, and look at certain things with little control over it. I always organize things and make sure they are facing the right way or in the right order. Everything I do has to be done a certain way. This really effects how I go on with my day. It's really annoying and I hate it. I can control it sometimes, but it's a lot harder then it sounds. My mom doesn't seem to understand. I tell her almost everyday what is going on, and that I want help. But she doesn't seem to think it's that bad. So I'll just go ahead and show her this video and see what she thinks then. My OCD is really interfering with me life.

      I'm 12 and I have OCD and a few other disorders, so I know how you feel :/ I also went through the thing with my mum, but I was taken to a mental hospital (because of cutting and a suicide attemt, and intrusive thoughts) and I got diagnosed there. And my therapist and the others who helped diagnosed me said I have one of the worst cases they have seen. Which includes kids, teens, and adult.

      I'm 13 too and i understand what ur going through. I hate having this and i feel like i'll never get better. I always have horrible images if death in my mind and i feel that if i don't touch something a certain way or walk a certain way something bad will happen all cuz of me. It gets on my last nerve! I have to walk without stepping on a crack and if i do i have to step my other foot on the crack exactly the same way or else something really bad might happen. And i can't even explain the rest of it and that just gets me worse and ugghh! I just want it to stop.

      ambika sikka I think it might be. OCD stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Most people with it think something bad will happen if they don't do a certain thing, which is the Obsessive part. They do the "thing" , such as cleaning or counting, or in your case, checking their heights, to stop the thoughts, which is the Compulsive part. So I think it is. But it might not.

    This disorder ruined my life.
    It ruined my education. All my mind could focus on was compulsions and anxiety, I never asked teachers for help because I was afraid.
    It ruined my social life. I never texted friends - the idea of sending a message was terrifying. I'd re-read a message dozens of times before finally deciding to hit sent, sometimes never hitting send at all.
    It ruined my family life. I always wanted to hide my compulsions, especially from my family. Sometime's I'd avoid my family so they wouldn't see me doing a compulsion and thinking something was wrong with me.
    I know it's scary to think about, but if you don't get help NOW you may miss so many opportunities and experiences. My only wish growing up was to live my life normally, to have a normal brain. My worst mistake was not getting help. Please, get help. OCD does not "go away" on it's own, it is a LIFELONG condition. Get help, please. Get meditation, get therapy, talk to someone. You shouldn't have to suffer this on your own. Nobody should. Don't make the same mistake as I.

      Man i fucked up school for same reasons, and u know what’s funny? Family says that it isn’t true what doctor say xD okay so if it isn’t true then give me evidence, man when I was 14 I was locked in closed section of psychiatric facility for like 2 or 3 months with crates on windows. I didn’t knew why I was locked but I felt scared and depressed and I felt like I’m in prison, man there were cameras even in rooms and toilet and when I wanted to take a shower I had to be with personnel. And here conversation ends, people like to talk and act adult when they in fact are just childish or sick too but they don’t want to face the truth. Currently I just realized that I can get paid with my illness cause before I was thinking like “what if doc will say I’m not sick? I will feel embarrassed and loose my money, nobody believes that I’m I’ll just because I’m not making stupid or crazy things? Hell can exist just in your mind and you will have fears to even tell anybody this shit is happening cuz of fear that they will not believe it, now I’m not even sure that it’s fear, fact or both… anyway ure like facing war alone locked in ur head without any chance of getting help u don’t even have faith/hope for gettin it cuz u know I’m 23 right now and my OCD was confirmed when I was 13/14, so probably was facing this problem earlier than 2012 cuz that was the year I was locked. Nothing helped me to this day but I have enough and decided to do something if nobody gives a fuck about me and my life, pretty much all my life I was thinking that I’m worthless piece of shit and my moms told me that I wasn’t intended to exist and my sis proven that and this shit just bended my perspective of experience. And also fact that I’m from poor family with alcohol abuse with traumatic situations like seeing dead family members when growing up and people dying just in front on my eyes. Man U know that I was just a kid without any knowledge and with OCD + 2 or more different diseases. That’s enough for me today when I’ve just started diggin in my memory, but it stays for all your life and no medicine or drug can erase these memories even psychological tricks. It will be with me forever and sure I can act everyday like nothing happened but u know… nobody living in my skin and who cares so why am I even telling about it? I don’t know maybe I had a need

      @@zglu4919 I hope you are doing okay now...or maybe do okay in the future sending hugs to you...idk what to say, you have suffered a lot I am afraid that if I say something wrong it might hurt you and as I am not a psychiatrist idk how to manage to talk with you...but just gotta say that keep hoping... hoping for the better...yeah this disease can't go away but it could be controlled if not fully gone I hope you actually go to a good psychiatric hospital if not that then there are also places or organisations that help people with mental health disorders I hope you get help...don't lose hope mate, you are not all alone we are all in this together, all the best with your life ❤️

    I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one going through this. My parents don’t think I need to see a doctor but I rlly feel like I have this disorder. Literally everything I do has to be done a certain way and I have to touch things a certain way. Everything has to be balanced in 2’s. If I touch something it has to be twice and with both hands it’s very eghhh.

      It's really frustrating.......I have to clean anythin I use and even if I clean it, I look at all angles until I find some dust in it and start cleaning that for eg. My mouse, laptop, books etc

      Same thing with me except I do everything in 4's, I'm not sure when it started because it feels like I've always lived like this and it seemed like a natural thing to do but now that I understand it, I just want to hit myself in the face everytime I give in to the compulsion.

      I always have to count in 8’s. Like if I’m pouring water, or drinking water, I go up to 8 (or if I’m really thirsty then 12). I can’t stop at 11. Even if I’ve had enough and I feel like I’m choking, I just force myself to take the last glug, to make it an even 12. Or if I’m counting a larger number in my head, (like when I hold my vitamin under the tongue for 30 seconds), I always count in sets of 8 until I’ve done enough to reach the desired number. I just do it automatically.

    This is a good video.I'm 25 and i have mild OCD myself. Although my condition isn't really things like washing hands and stuff. It is things such as similar to with that woman in the video, is checking things frequently and making sure nothing is near anything which might be risky for example, anything that is near the electricity, etc. Or sometimes i have this sudden moment such as when i do these things, I have to do them again. But this video has helped explained how somebody else may be the similar situation as anybody else. So well done to the person or to the people who uploaded this video!

    I have this thing where, whenever like I scrape my foot on the ground I get this feeling that doesn't go away until I scrape my other foot with exactly the same force until the feeling goes away and the same thing happens with everything else.

      Me too, but it happens with nearly every part of my body. If one arm feels pressure, my other arm needs to feel the same amount of pressure, if I bump something with one foot, I'll intentionally bump it again with my other foot, and so on.

    As someone who has lived with severe ocd for 21 years, it never really gets better. You just have to learn new ways to cope and accept that some of the things you do are just going to be part of your life. I used to have tons of anxiety about my compulsions. I do a thousand different things, it would be too long to list. But once I finally accepted that my compulsions were a part of who I am, I overcame the anxiety. I still do them all day every day, but it’s better living without the anxiety. It takes years of course, but I believe in you guys :)

    I have this thing where I count my steps. I count them in fives, fours, and twos. The tar lines in the street, the cracks in the pavement, and the rolls in the carpet help me count. I have to touch things until it feels right-using my fingers in the fives, fours, and tows of course. And I grit my teeth together and chatter them until it feels right. 🙃I could have ocd, but it doesn't effect my life really so I'm cool

      People say you can't stop it. You can't stop certain things but I always used to test the disorder and say 'If I don't do x, what will happen?'.
      You get a tickle in your brain that makes you anxious and annoyed until you do that thing again. Things don't feel right until you do your ritual. I have always felt like this but I stopped the compulsions and it made me much better. I stopped counting, I started walking on cracks that I'd avoid, I made sure I did something and then didn't go back to check on it. I'm much better now and don't get the impulse as often. Sometimes I catch myself doing something like touching something with one hand and then the other but I try hard not to. I think it's something that you can counter if you think hard enough, but the violent/scary thoughts and such will never go away. Just try your best to cope with them, good luck!

To get over ocd you have to become an expert at knowing what it is and how to deal with it. I’m 16, suffering from contamination ocd but I recently have made huge strides to recovery, and these strides are the result of strategies and ideas literally NO WHERE on the internet.

    I am so happy that all these videos exist. I want to understand what happens inside my non verbal, high needs autistic, ADHD, ocd brothers mind. I'm 9, he's 7, I've had to grow up so quickly because of this. I am ADHD and I have anxiety. My mum is the same, and my dad is neurotypical so it's hard for him to understand sometimes.     Dance used to be my dream. I quit out of fear of accidentally harming myself. I don't want to say exactly how because I don't want to trigger anyone who reads this comment. But to others with OCD, i can say that we are some of the strongest people on this Earth to put up with this. Don't give up: there is always a way to get to where you want to be. I am still sick but I found faith in myself even through all this. I have dark thoughts everyday, and I keep going anyway.

    Ive never been diagnosed but I started to worry. I am Catholic and I’ve never really prayed as a child but after a trip I started praying that we had a safe trip and after that I prayed every night as a way to say thank you. They where quick and I basically just said thanks and asked for all of us to be ok. It was normal. But idk when it happened but I started adding things, like I have to say amen for every family never there was, I had to amen and think of every family member and pet while doing so. It changed a lot and currently I have to say amen 4 times, make sure that all my fingers touch each others tips at Exacly the same time and same position for at least 2 seconds, the I have to press all my fingers on my bottom Check making its way up, that 4 times then do the same thing with my knees then count to 7 two times in English two in Spanish and then 4 in English and 4 in spanish. Idk how it got to this point but I’m tired of it. I feel like if i don’t do it my prayers won’t be valid

      I totally get what your going through as Christian sometimes my ocds try to mess with me in my prayers like that the best medicine for it is to read scriptures or listen to a sermon, it helps a lot. I pray to God you are no longer having this problem. It’s a hard thing to go through. God Bless.

    I don't know whether this is OCD or not, but I have this thing whether I keep repeating sentences until I say them perfectly. I keep reading the same page of my textbook until I feel like everything is inside my head. Even though I know I remember what I have read, I'd still read it over and over again. This has been messing up my studies a lot. It's to the point where I break down every alternate day. I have this habit of organizing things in order too. Moreover, as an artist, I have always thought it was because of me being a perfectionist. But that's not it. Lately, I haven't been able to draw because of the fear I would ruin it. No matter how many times I ask my parents for help, they would say I am just being lazy. I know they love me, but why is it so hard to make them understand what I am going through? For now, I am trying to work this thing on my own. I just hope I'll be able to keep it in control.

    I want to say i suffered from this condition too .....i was like almost asleep then i have a sudden urge to see if the door is locked ... The gas is off etc ....even if i knew that they are fine . It keeps me uncomfortable ....it left me no choice but to get up and see in the middle of night.
    I can say after several experiences i stopped and restrained myself from it ....... ....
    I learned to manage my thought s ..
    Now its been 4 years i feel like i am completely normal now ..... Just keep on trying and your will certainly overcome this

    I have ocd for 5 or 6 years , i struggle alot but for me j krishnamurti awareness video help me i watch my thoughts without reacting and this thing work very well , i recover fully in month today i live my happy life , i married and have baby soon . Osho also have good book on awareness and sunny sharma youtube channel have helped alot .with this now i feel superior than normal people because this thing is awesome work greatly in life.

    I'm 15 and I have OCD in a very heavy form for more than 9 years. I also developed a depression because of it. To all the people that don't have this disease or don't understand it, it's very hard to live with it... it drives you totally crazy. I am taking medicines, seeing a psychiatrist and a psychologist for a long time but it hasn't changed anything... it has ever become worser...

    OCD runs through my dad's side of the family, and I was the only one out of my siblings to end up inheriting it. My parents keep saying it'll get better once I'm older, but It's been getting so particularly bad lately that it's getting harder and harder to get through the day comfortably. My hands are extremely dried out and cracked from washing them so much, I have to sanitize my phone an upward of ten times a day, I change my sheets at minimum three times per week, I can't get in bed until I've showered and sanitized my door handles, light switches, phone, iPad, chargers, and remotes. I keep having obsessive thoughts that if I don't do certain things, or say a certain amount of prayers, that something will happen to someone I love. It's just getting harder to cope with everyday and I don't know what to do.

      My innate advice to develop right brain because i have ADHD and i'm very dominant in creativity (right brain) and i feel OCD people are usually big on left brain department. I can't keep quite though and always act on impulse that's probably the opposite of OCD.

      I’m the same. I used to get stuck at the sink washing my hands. It was never clean enough. I had so many bloody cracks all over both hands, even the palms, but I couldn’t stop. I didn’t want to touch anything, even around my house, so I started wearing plastic gloves a lot, and opening and closing doors with my feet. Or if there was a door handle, corner of the table, or part of the wall that a guest touched, I would avoid touching that place in case it had germs on it- even five years later. Or wait 3 months before touching groceries. Or rewash something that just came out of the wash, because the corner of it brushed against something. I could go on and on. It’s horrible. Hope you’re doing better.

    How I managed to beat the OCD is by pointing at what I was about to do and saying it out loud. This really helps you walk away, not do what you were about to do and become aware of your actions. I learnt this from a book that's completely off topic called Atomic Habits even before I knew what OCD was. I thought I was the only one in the world with this weird thing.

    I have obsessive-compulsive disorder. I've had it ever since I was a toddler. I never really understood what was going on. I never did. I knew that I had intrusive thoughts that invaded my mind. Growing up I would always check the doors, the stove, and our garage door. I would also try to use taking care of my dogs as an excuse for not attending family gatherings and events because the intrusive thought I had was, if I went to family events/gatherings, then I would ruin the fun for everyone and everyone would be mad at me. I would become so depressed that I thought for sure I would have to fight this alone and when I do talk to my parents, there is a side of me that is telling me that they will never understand it they don't care. So I use cleanliness to ease those thoughts. Right now I am doing better and I am currently taking Luvox for OCD.

    I got OCD when I was 9. It was awful! I didnt tell anyone about it because I thought they would think I was insane. The OCD really flared up when I was 15 cause as I got compulsions that was impossible to do. That really drove me crazy. I am so glad OCD is something common, I am not alone:)

    Im 19 and this ocd is literally killing my mind, i always check out things,i wash the same things for many times,i wash the bathroom,dishes repeatedly i even take bath atleast 3-4times a day, wash my hands repeatedly trust me its wasting my time, I've exams and I'm reading the 1 topic for 10times it's driving me crazy

    I'm 17 and i've lived with it since i was 12, i can only open everything 3 times a day, cannot look at my dad, cannot touch anybody because my hands will get dirty, i washed my hands everytime i feel uncomfortable, like there's dirt on it, i washed my hands again if I feel like i just looked at something dirty, I would only go to sleep if time passes 0:00 o'clock, things juat getting worse and worse by day.
    I told my parents about it but they think I'm not serious, I know there are people in this world who got it worse but i just don't feel comfortable, all I ever wanted was to live a normal life like everyone else but at the same time i just cannot have it, I'm not allowed to and I wish i could just disappear and never be this useless again

Try and explain to your parents, preferably with some medical info about OCD tell them what you do that is OCD and how it makes you feel, f they still don't take you seriously try going to the doctors on your own. Seek help because you don't deserve to live a life do miserable

    I have the most unpleasant heinous intrusive thoughts 24/7, so much so I started having nightmares. I always think I am going to cause harm to someone by being careless, or that I will be a victim of some serious situation. I can’t drive because I’m scared I’ll cause a crash and I’ll kill someone. I can’t eat food given to me unless it’s given by someone is trust. I won’t drink anything I leave out for short periods of time because it might be drugged. I won’t touch or be around something I think is contaminated, and I OBSESSIVELY wash everything because it’s all covered in germs. I can’t sleep because the images are so vivid and violent, and the more I try to stop them the more they appear. I can’t focus anymore. I can’t tell anyone because they won’t believe me. It, in short terms, sucks.

    I had to be homeschooled in high school because of this and cannot have intimate relationships it’s a hard pill to swallow but I’ve accepted it and am now an alcoholic recovery from it. I wish whoever suffers from this crap the best I love you ❤️

    I have OCD myself, and like in this video, OCD really bothers me with everything I do. But on my opinion they forgot to explain the process going to a therapist, of course it doesn't has to be explained precisely, but it isn't just "going to a therapist and talk", in my case at least. The moment I'm going to a therapist I really have to think very concentrated and a lot of questions are asked me about the most difficult thoughts. E.g. 'why do bacteria scare you?', and 'what happens when you don't put things in order correctly or don't wash your hands after touching the lightswitch?'. Even though I've got a lot of people wanting to help me, it's not as easy to minimalize your thoughts as they say in this video. For the rest it is explained very good.

I'm sorry you're dealing will all of that, it really can be tough to constantly have your mind occupied with impulsive thoughts of any sort really. I do however feel like I should say that 1 year ago, my diagnosis with OCD turned out to be slightly inaccurate and they have since rediagnosed with OCPD (same symptoms, different cause). So I don't relate 100%, but still enough to get the struggle.. Best of luck tho, you're not alone :)

      @@yo-uc2yu Knowing you're not alone really can help, whether other people share the same diagnosis or struggle with completely different ones. If you're anything like me and you worry a lot about the future and still having to deal with it, take your time. Even though my diagnosis is slightly different and has different treatment, if there's one thing important, it's to take it slow and really get better on your own terms! 4 months of taking it slow, got me more results than 4,5 years of hurrying to get better.. U got this :)

    It’s such a pain in the ass…
    In the beginning it were just simple tasks that needed to be completed but over the years I developed a severe anxiety disorder which also resulted from PTSD…
    It got to a level, that made me I believe I would hurt those I love and become a literal monster, but those were "only" the repetitive fears, showing themselves as a constant 24/7 thought process with no ending in sight. Sadly I didn’t build up enough courage to talk about these thoughts with someone and suffered a severe breakdown, bringing me right to a psychiatric facility where I received a proper diagnosis and the well needed treatment. Although I am now in control most of the time, the breakdown I suffered had severe negative effects on my mind(chronic depression, constant mood changes, etc.) , which are…let’s just say not very pleasant. It also prevented me from continuing my education for a long time. Gladly I could start over, but I don’t think I can ever be the same person again. Therefore I hope that everyone who reads this, has more courage than I did and gets the help they need , before it reaches a turning point. Because you are not only worth enough to be healthy but also YOU ARE STRONGER THAN THE DARKNESS AND DESERVE ALL THE HAPPINESS IN THE WORLD.

    100% accurate. Diagnosed OCD Adult here. It will be a daily struggle. Seek counseling regularly. Focus on mindfulness. Verbally talk yourself through stopping when you become overwhelmed.

    i got rid of my OCD by reading judy ho's 'self-sabotage workbook'. specially the part about managing thoughts. it turns out, my compulsive rituals where similar to an addiction that numbed me to negative thoughts i had about myself and the things i pursued, and i got those feelings from my hyper-critical parents. and by learning to deal with the thoughts, and developing my self-confidence, the OCD faded away.

    this was one of the videos that made me think i might have ocd and the whole time i kept convincing myself that i do not for some reason, i don't want to have this disorder, nobody does. but my gut feeling nagging me that i could have this debilitating disorder was right. this year, i got clinically diagnosed with severe ocd, with various themes, including pure o(had to special mention this idk why). (and yes, i have several several of themes for my ocd that either switches one by one or multiple themes and then another combination and sometimes all themes at once, and it's hard to be battling with ugh)

    this is what i was looking for!!!! this video beyond of perfect to visualized ocd, because i had it but i claimed it myself, im sure 100 percent i have ocd. if i was right, i had this since i was a child and never knowing that it is unnormal. i do things repeatedly in order of arranging and cleaning kinda stuff. this video convince me more that i have them. but i think mine isnt really that worst especiall when im in society cause ive always tried to deal with it, like ignoring them even tho it hurts my brain lol, but sometimes they wont go, and theyre still going in my head although i leave it away. and this is how i spend my day, like wastig my time of think of unimportant things. hope it can be remove and i can live my life.

    Not sure if this will help someone but I had this really bad. I became so miserable. One day I was leaving the house. I checked the door lock not twice.. but 17 times. I was stuck turning around and checking again and again and again. Then something happened. I decided I would rather leave the door wide open, the gas on and the whole house burn to the ground before I would give myself over to check that door ever again. Then it all just disappeared. The compulsions, anxiety everything. About 10 years later I felt it come again, the urge to check the door, but I remembered letting the house burn down is better, laughed to myself and kept on walking. Always remember, nothing is more important than your own happiness and health. Everything else is secondary and can be replaced.

    one time, i locked the door, and started walking to school. I started feeling sick, I ran back and checked the door. It was locked, but i didnt believe it, because right after i ran back to check again. It still happens that I cant leave home before i check my stuff twice. It is a realy wierd feeling, but im not diagnoced OCD ( i where 10)

    I have suffered OCD without being known that my suffering has a name .I lost all control over my thoughts,I could not study or do any other things and could only sleep for 3-4 hours a day but I didn't share it with anyone due to the fear that people around me will not accept me.when it become unmanageable I share this to my mother.my mother just said to me why are you thinking such negative thoughts just keep yourself involve in doing other things.only I knew my inner turmoil.my mother used to say my father that she had stress of her study so she cry.and then I had to solve my issues on my own.i thought that only God can help me and I started chanting the holy name of god(Hare krishna mahamantra). And god helped me.it has not completely vanished but I have control over my thoughts now.i can chose my thoughts.
    But I lost 2 years of my life.i lost people,It deteriorated my health,my studies.i am almost ruined but I am thankful that atleast I have no anxiety and have control over my thoughts.

    I've had OCD since the age of 7.5 (I'm 24 now) and my OCD has changed over the years. My Intrusive Thoughts include "images of my loved ones getting murdered", "me shitting myself while meeting the Queen at Buckingham Palace", "not being aloud in a specific club because I have the wrong type of underwear" and "me keying my friends new car for no reason".
    My compulsions include "turning the tap in the sink on and off multiple times till all the mental contamination have gone" and "tapping a piece of the wall in my house to clench the atmosphere of impurities".
    These obsessions and compulsions can be really challenging for me during times of stress and its during these times I am at my most frustrated. I was on multiple medications for sixteen years until I finally went to a therapist who's helped me greatly over the past three and a half years! I've also come 9f my medication (20ml of Fluoxetine) and surprisingly feel better without it, except for times of stress when it gets really bad. Bit besides that, therapy works best for me.

    It’s so frustrating I can’t even explain right now while watching this video i’m crying in my bathroom hiding away from my family cuz i feel like why me!? Why do this happen to me all the time? It’s too much sometimes i think i feel better after crying cuz it’s a way for me to vent out. I also try to self help myself and i have shared this with my boyfriend, my family and friends. They all understand this. But sometimes there are days when it just gets too much and all i wish for is a break from these intrusive unwanted thoughts. I hope i get better soon and learn a healthy way to deal with it. Sometimes writing helps, sometimes crying and sometimes sharing it with my loved ones do help though.

    Relax, breath in and out patiently, try to stop yourself no matter how uncomfortable or frustrate it gets. And If you succeed on the first try, I believe that you will succeed in the next attempts. And one day you will get rid of it. Just have a strong MIND! Hope this help and bless you!

    I haven’t been officially diagnosed yet so I can’t claim to have OCD, but I do this thing where if I touch one arm, I have to touch the other. Or if I touch the side of my phone with one hand, I have to touch the other side with the other hand. It’s kind of become second nature at this point to do all those things.

      I have nearly the same problem and its rely affecting because I do Rythmic gimnastics and when I sweat I have a towel to dry the sweat of and if I dry out I have to do each arm 6 times or touch my knees for 2 times each, no one know about this and I dont know what to do

      My entire life I thought I was the only one, I have a very vague memory when I was in grade 3 where my friends were telling me to spin around because my hair went out like and umbrella or something, but I couldn’t keep spinning I’m not sure why, I kept spinning 360 to the right, then to the left. They told me to just keep spinning around, obviously I couldn’t just explain to them why I couldn’t so I just kept spinning and after I had to find a way to spin back left over and over again stealthily so that I can get back into a centred position I guess. I wasn’t able to do it so I was mad at myself for that day. So I guess I’ve had it since I was 8 but there’s no way for me to know. I also have the pressure thing but then centred one interferes with my life a lot more.

    Fuking hell!!!!!! Now I got why I touch things 5 times, crack left and right ears to equate crackling, blink left and right eyes to equate(got rid thou), watch light to flash my memory, keep things organised like a freak, check things like locks, switches again and again for surety, replay random stuff again and again although I clearly know that etc etc. DAMN!!!!

    Along with other compulsions, I just realised I also do simple calculations 6-7 times just to be sure, basic maths calculations. I get so frustrated with that because it takes me so much long to solve a problem only because I keep on repeating the basic math, and feel even more sad that I've become weak in studies. I did all those calculations pretty quick as a school kid but now in post graduation I can only feel pity about myself. I've other related and weird conditions like body dysmorphia, misophonia and anxiety. This thing can completely mess up one's life ! If you can please do go to the doctor, please. Do take help. Not able to tell it to anyone is whole other level of problem.

    Just realized that I have OCD. There were times even putting a simple comment on social media posts were terrifying.
    The way I see OCD, if you let it take control, it will make your life feel like you are reliving the same day every day. Your mind tells you to do certain things certain ways and you must do them everyday exactly as the mind tells you, keep doing it till it feels right.
    By the grace of God Ive been able to constantly challenge myself into not falling for those compulsions and obsessions by keeping the mind open to see what really happends if you dont do what your mind keeps telling you to do.
    Ofcourse the anxiety levels would skyrocket through the roof but its the only way to tell your mind that if you don't so what your mind is telling you to do nothing bad is going to happen. Teach the mind that nothing bad is going to happen. Try burning the things that you interact with frequently during OCD. And always find new ways of doing something rather than doing the same thing over and over again. May God bless you to get out of that prision.

    I had anxiety a lot in summer of 2020. I know I had anxiety, and I went to therapy. I think I also had OCD. I don't know if I did, because I would just have to keep my fingers busy constantly, and I still do. I would always have to read or watch TV to get my mind off the intrusive thoughts that I couldn't stop thinking about. That's where my reading obsession came from. I have no idea whether that was OCD, or something else. I still have intrusive thoughts, and worries that something terrible will happen.
