Well, you can spend 20k to buy a warehouse in the middle of nowhere and a single piece of gear or invest the same amount of money in synths, DAWs, sound packs, sequencers and so on... none of them is a wise choice but who cares? 🤣
Don't forget the fourth wall.
I heard he has a bunch of PA speakers set up and uses that as an analog reverb chamber. So analog.
If people can actually appreciate how hard it is to program drum machine on the fly, they definitely would appreciate this video. Next level skills, man. Good luck for NAMM.

@@phillytee9106 ...really? How do you get that this is pre-prepared? Don't you see him programming it and playing the pads? And not just selecting a different track in the bank? I'm so confused
@@drychineb1835 some things were played, but a lot was preprogrammed into the drum sequencer. the DBI cannot switch to a new track with the record enabled, so there's no way to suddenly start into a completely new sequence without it being at least partially set up ahead of time.
Does it matter? All I see is him pressing buttons, it sounds good so that's the main point I'm sure all the patterns were programmed by him, it's called artisitc license so whether it was totally live or not, I'm sure this wasn't the only take they did.@@drychineb1835
That stufff is HELLA EASYYYYYYYYYY, so is a lot of other stuff people like to brag about (I'm the one who's bragging now - I know). And drumbrute sounds kind of mwehhhhhh… I have so many opinions. Ignore them if you want :)
Respect to Arturia for not making another clone of 808/909. This sounds really different. I didn't like it at first but some performances made me change my opinion. Also FM drum and randomization are really cool and useful features. Definitely better than original Drumbrute which was to much "so-so"
Line out to a pitch shifter pedal might work, get mine in two days going to try..

I am sitting here with the same machine. And I don’t understand how this was done.
@@youcaillouI don’t own the drum machine, but from what I can see, he’s using XLR, audio, USB, and power. USB might indicate a sequencer or other computer. The rest of the gear looks like a mixer and powered speaker.
Got this device a month a go and absolutely love it! So easy and intuitive to play and it can produce massive grooves! Well done Arturia
I was disappointed with mine at first, but then I dedicated a week to it. I realized how well it works with my other instruments, I’m hooked. It can lead with all its triggers going into other stuff, or sync a synth to it. Magic 👍🏾🔥

Love the machine, performance and feel. This being said, just wanna point out that the camera movement is a character on the clip. This is how gear must be advertised

Or at the very least, colorization of the pads that are set to "color" mode or something since colored pads on this device are orange instead of the standard pads that are white.
I thought that was ironic as well. COLOR! yeah, nah it's in black and white.

Seen the video before (great video BTW!), but apparently with inferior headphones. By chance viewed it again just now with some solid earphones. Man, that subsonic bass is epic!
All these drumbrute videos everybody's making dance music and house techno music this drum machine can do all sorts of genres it is a beast of a drum machine. Right now they are three different drumbrutes out there there's the original there's the impact and there's one called creation. if you had to get one get the original it has more drum sounds on it but all three of them are beasts for any type of music that you want to do.
If this was the first or the only "Drumbrute-Impact"-Video i have seen, i would for sure buy another gear. But thanks God, other Videos show how good the Sound can be !

I wish there was a list or breakdown of the other gear used. he has three of the instrument outs and the master out used. so i guess just four channels recording into Ableton but I really feel like I heard some sidechain action. Tell me more please. This thing sounds amazing either way

Great sounding drummachine ! kick /snare/FM/hh are amazing..! but i wish the accent (or cowbell) had a trigger output (like the roland drummachines)

Seems to all be the machine. That bass like sound you hear is the FM kick drum.

Questa macchina , l ho provata. Si sono fatti passi avanti rispetto ad altre drum machine tuttavia , anche se ci si è mossi finalmente dalle solite tr 808 e 909 .. avrei voluto delle casse .. poi potenti..È una scelta di almeno 5 casse. Si potrebbero aver aggiunto degli fx come uno share con reverb o ,suoni grandi .. anche gli share .. sono proprio classici alla base. Considerando anche qui un miglioramento rispetto alle solite drum m

It looks like just a monitor stand with Drumbrute on it, instead of the actual speaker ;)
Take a look at the Samson LTS50 laptop tripod . Fully adjustable and sturdy as foook. At 40$ (on Amazon) it should hold this beauty quite nicely.

Ive seen a couple of people do that half time break on te drumbrute impact. Is this a feature that’s easily doable on the DBI or is he just a fucking wizard? (Maybe he switched to a different saved pattern)
I think he's switching patterns @2:45 and he has enabled the setting for the pattern to start immediately, than waiting for the bar to finish.

I bought one on impulse, it sits in the box on a shelf waiting for a firmware update to stop it sounding like at toy.
Came here looking for this comment. I was offered one second hand but the sounds seem so very ‘bedroom’ and I want to perform with it. Think I’ll keep looking.

Edit: I was wrong in the very first place and now had figure it out I cant do SHIT with this incredible machine. Should have buyed a simple tr 8 and being happy about being just mediocre.

Edit 2: now I'm fine with it. Never even close to this performance, but I feel friends with the machine
Edit 3: sold the damn thing months ago and feeling happy about it. Just bought a very simple Behringer rd-6 and everything is still going the same way (i preffer it tbh. You doesnt need to shape the sounds and thats nice). Never fear saying goodbye to your gear. If you are feeling like it, just do it.
People talk about how the DBI is better than the o.g. one, but it is just not truth. The DBI is full of ugly sounds and despite having a GREAT sequencer, the kit pieces you got to work with are poor sounding and dull.

I love this machine, but the cowbell.. well, it's the worst cowbell I have ever heard. It really makes me sad. Such a waste of space. The cowbell has no separate output, can not be decayed, and it's not effected by colour. It's really really bad. I'll remove this comment, if there is ever a firmware update. One that fixes it.
