Thanks for the explanation of what that little thing does. For a $25 part when they go bad it's a big PITA. I might keep a spare one of these in my rig now just cause this is the second time I've had trouble with one.
Will the ppv cause the brakes to not engage when pressing the brake pedal am having trouble with a flatbed not wanting to break when am pushing the pedal their is a delay
The PPV shouldn't be causing any brake lag/delay issues. Assuming you've confirmed the tractor isn't the issue by testing on another trailer, I'd check all the plumbing for the service brakes from the blue glad hand to the service relay valve on your air tank. Look for any kinks or obstructions in the lines. If all lines look good, look for any mechanical reason for the delay ( seized S-cam bushings, worn/ inoperative slack adjusters ect.) If everything checks out I would look replacing your service relay valve.
