    Awesome video, Sean! I'm a guitar player with some drum programming experience but the EZdrummer 3 manual is severely lacking. Your videos are absolutely fantastic and have helped me immensely in getting familiarized with the software. One thing i can't figure out is how to delete bars in the grid editor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    • @ShootieSchool
      @ShootieSchool  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great thank you. Full sections? I’d say cut them up and delete from the song track instead. Or do big marquee drags.

      Sean@@ShootieSchool Thank you! I didn't expect such a quick response. You are awesome! I realized my mistake was using a keyboard to play the notes, but they didn't place properly in the measures. After watching your video a few more times, I got very comfortable programming the tracks with the grid editor. Problem solved! Thanks again, brother!

    Terrific intro guide! I consider myself an intermediate user (though your videos are quickly getting me to advanced). But I always watch even your beginner videos and here is a perfect example of why. I have completely ignored the Library Presets feature that you explain starting around the 9:00 mark. I guess because I have focused on the Grooves and other areas. That is an amazing option and your demo of it covered the presets perfectly.
    Rock on! 🤘

    This guide is a fully professional and, most important, a fully objective (rather than hype marketing) review and guide. It fits with the high standard Shootie has set across all his work with Toontrack products. A great supplement to the more "bare bones" material provided with the product.

    Hey man, quick question... When you drag the drum track from EZdrummer3 into your DAW's drum track instead of editing in the plugin, is there a way to drag it back into the plugin so I can change the drum kits etc? Cant find the original drum beat in the grooves tab so need a way of either finding the groove or opening it back in the plugin so I can edit it. Thanks! Love the channel

    • @ShootieSchool

    Shootie I gotta tell you man, that last feature was the selling ticket for me man! all I've wanted to do was add some beat to my songs and I am not willing to pay a producer to do it and share 50% of my royalties just to add some drums - I have a wood set of drums behind me but my headphones cord doesn't reach to over dub and its not always easy to just bang out drums in the odd hours of the night so thank you so much for your guide I will be purchasing this software souly for that feature alone "Bandmate!" 🙌

  • @andrewgonzalez7816

    Can EZDrummer easily read midi data that's already in a DAW like Logic?

    • @ShootieSchool
      @ShootieSchool  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it will play any midi if EZ is placed on the same track or if you route a midi track to it. As for mapping, it should be either Toontrack or General Standard midi mapping. If you try to send it GetGoodDrums midi for example, the mapping will be off.

    One question? Is it fantastic? Lol
    EZ Drummer has helped me fix countless records. The band will leave my studio, and I’ll “fix” the drummers snare hits on the regular. And if the drummer can’t stay on time: when they leave, I use EZ or Superior to fix it. Great programs

    I bought ez drymmer 3 during the lre release but still keep using ezdrummer 2. I know its a massive upgeade from ez2 but i keep gravitating towards ez2. It's almost like i'm nervous to dive into it because its a massive program. I think it might be an option paralysis thing...

    • @ShootieSchool
      @ShootieSchool  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you made it through this video, maybe just seeing that the layout is different, yet all the EZD2 features are still there, might help. EZD2 is great. I think my main motivator for you if you're still using it would be that it's not supported anymore. So the day it doesn't work correctly on your system anymore you will have to switch over at that point. EZD2 still gets the job done, for sure.

    Hi Sean, really enjoying your videos man. You do a great job at explaining things in detail, in a clear and concise way. I have a question though: a lot of the things you teach for EZDrummer look very similar to Superior Drummer 3. Are there a lot of differences between the two, or do a lot of the things you teach in these vids translate well?

    • @ShootieSchool
      @ShootieSchool  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! EZD's layout looks better for smaller things. Has Bandmate.
      SD3 has mixing features for engineers and more features for pro Edrummers. I assume when SD4 comes out there will be no real advantage to EZD besides price and simpler mixing experience.

    • @phildimopoulos6010

      @@ShootieSchool ohhh right on! K yeah that’s sort of what I gathered, than you for the quick reply! I feel like I may have made a mistake in getting SD3 over EZD3, because I would love to create my drums along to guitar tracks I recorded. I’m just going through your vids now to try and find the best way to go about this, likely will have to do it via the SD3 plugin in my DAW, eh?
      Btw, how can I contribute? I’d love to show my appreciation for your efforts, you really do put in the time and effort on these vids.

Is there a way that I can jam along to music while hearing EZD? If my headphones are plugged into my module would I just have to pull up Spotify on the same laptop and play it while EZD is running? Or would I have to plug my headphones directly into the laptop? If you have the solution for this please let me know and keep up the great videos

    Sean, you are by far the best person to go to when explaining these toontracks software. I am a drummer myself but had to sell my kit several years ago for $ I needed. Kept my guitar and keys and still love creating. Buying Easy Drummer, Easy keys and Easy Bass gives me the back up that I need when I have ideas ripping through my mind to lay out and manipulate very easily in the process as if I am working with real musicians. Mind you nothing compares to being with real talent behind the instruments to play along with but when you are in situations when you are on your own? You definitely don't feel as alone with these products.
    Oh and there's room for some silliness here. This is definitely you. The G.O.A.T. when it comes to your expertise on this subject 🐐 😁✌🏻 Thank you Brother!

    I've been using Toontrack products for a year now, and making music has never been so much fun. Your videos are the perfect companion to such amazing software. Everytime I watch one I learn something new. Rock on Shootie School!

    I've got Adobe Audition CC that I use as my DAW. I'm having an awful time trying to get the ED3 plugin working. I go into the AA prefs and point AA to the plugin folder, then run the scan and nothing populates. What am I doing wrong?

    I just want to say thank you. Your videos are so good man. I was able to pick up EZ drummer 3 in just two days with your help and have already started making some videos for my new channel. Thank you dude!

    After a few years, I finally just got myself an ekit for the house, a new Mac and EZD3. Your videos are super appreciated mate. Subscribed. Thank you🙏🏼

    Love the videos. Guitar player songwriter looking for an “ez drummer”. Band mate feature seems great. In studio one I cannot drag a midi file into EZD3. How would you recommend I get a part into band mate from within S1? Am I seeing this correctly? Thank you. Rick
