When Yelp called and talked me into signing up, with them . I thought they told me it would cost about a few dollars a day but for some reason they charged me $700 a month . I canceled the service and it look like they block me off or something because it doesn’t allow me to read clients reviews anymore.🥲

I stick to google ads. I feel like more people use google and yelp hassles the shit out of you (unlike google)
Did you pay to Fox News to make a story about your business?
no I did not. I reached out to them and asked them if they were interested in my story. It seemed like a good story since microblading was still so new and not many people knew what it was. It NEVEr hurts to ask.

Google reviews are really helpful, most of my clients will leave a good review but some of them they just doesn’t answer when I sent a message to offer $50 vouchers for leaving a google review

When you first started where would you see your clients , or did you just jump into opening a business? 😭
I first started out of my house. slowly learning with each new client. then I opened my first studio. Just make sure your place is clean and following the OSHA rules. Thank you for this! I got licensed in permanent cosmetics & microblading about 4 yrs ago…. And have done maybe a total of 8 ppl so far, haven’t been satisfied of my work so far at all. I can practice all day & great on practice skin but when it comes to real skin, I loose mapping & then there goes the whole thing. Which totally discourages me, I originally wanted to do this business to HELP ppl but feel as though up to this point I’m not helping whatsoever… ugh help !!

How much did it take to start off ?
I don't have an exact number. only how much I spent on trainings in the first six months which was $3300. but I spent money on others things. tons of start up costs like supplies and other gear needed.,

Hi Kristi!! Just discovered your page. I completed training in October- unfortunately, my training experience was the same-- upsetting, discouraging, and disappointing (even more so because I'm broke) lol. I also decided to train myself, using my experience to fuel my fire, it also gave me do's and dont's when I become a PMU educator. Thanks for sharing your story!!! I don't do ads on instagram bc theyre not worth it (financially) unless youre okay with spending a lot of money. But I would definitely share a post and to your story! 👍🏻
