Aaand, that number is outrageously skewed by the fact that OU doesn’t play their main rival at home, but at a neutral site. That fact alone makes this winning percentage completely misleading. Texas has 9 wins against OU from 1999-now; if this was a home and away like most schools instead of a neutral site, you’d have to add about 5 more home losses (roughly half of Texas’ wins against you) to that number, which would pump it from 11 up to 16 home losses. Big difference.
I get being a Sooners homer on this, but saying Iowa didn’t have a good run D last year is just silly. They gave up 4 rushing TDs through their first 13 games and then Nico ran for 3 himself in the bowl game.
I think you’re a little confused on Nico’s interceptions my friend. He should’ve never thrown the ball to Bru McCoy but the other int was a play where his arm was hit while he was throwing and it sailed straight up into the air
You guys are so hopeful that TN defense isnt as ELITE as it has seemed so far. However stop an consider this, Our DL is 14 deep with very little drop off, due to that our 1st string has played only an overage of 50 snaps through 3 games, so the stats are a bit lacking. But WHO was those rushing offense you played prior to us? What was they ranked at rushing?
I can’t tell if either of these guys just don’t watch football played outside of Norman or if they are just talking themselves into believing what they are saying. Also, they keep saying Tennessee hasn’t been tested…well Oklahoma hasn’t played anyone this year and they’ve struggled against lesser opponents and you think they’re going to have a “breakout performance” against Tennessee? They barely made it past Houston. This podcast is the embodiment of Crimson Colored Glasses. GBO🍊🍊
Sooo...TN won't be any more effective on D line than Houston and Tulane, basically, according to Jay. If Tulane and Houston got pressure, TN will live in the OU backfield. I do wish they could have played this game later in the year when OU has time to get guys healthy.
Don't be misled by Tenn D-Line only having 4 sacks. The teams they've playrd haven't even attempted to thriw dien field. Most are just raising the white flag. Quick completioms and rushing plays just to keep the clock rolling.
It was 10-3 with 4 minutes left in the first half against NC State. Not gonna be 28-0 in the first quarter. Yall some scary ass bandwagon ass fans. smdh…Anyways… B💥💥MER
And you seem to think that a bad front seven with. One Banged up defensive lineman is gonna make the team all that much better just because they can rotate if they can’t tackle it doesn’t matter
@jeromestevens are you actually saying UT’s defensive line can’t tackle? Everyone is looking at UT’s low number of sacks but have any of yall looked at tfl’s which are very similar to a sack. A tackle behind the line of scrimmage is a loss of yards period I could personally care less if it’s a qb, rb, or wr that’s got the ball in their hand. I like it to be a close first half but I have UT 34-17 but that’s just my humble opinion
@@FoldenBrandonM i’m saying, I’ve watched UT play very very very inferior opponents And they are way off in TFL compared with Oklahoma I’m not buying Tenn and it’s Going to be even closer then you think halftime 17-12, Oklahoma I think Oklahoma wins by a field goal
I am looking forward to this game. I am looking forward to Tennessee winning by a large margin, Tennessee 45-10! I am also looking forward to yalls post game show. I wonder what excuses yall will use. Your talking points about matchups are epic fantasy! In no multiverse does OU matchup with Tennessee on either side of the ball! I will give Arnold credit where credit is do, he is an incredible 5 star QB! I have nothing but love for this young man and the incredible career he has in front of him! He just hasn't been given the tools necessary to amplify his amazing talent. He does not have a good O line. Nor does he have dominant RBs or a Reciever core. He literally is carrying Oklahoma on his back and its just not going to be enough and thats ashame. GBO!!!🎃🎃🎃🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🍊🍊🍊🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎃🎃🎃🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲😊😊😊🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎃🎃🎃🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🍊🍊🍊🪡🪡
Taylor Tatum has easily looked the best. Barnes has no burst
Stat...since 1999, OU has lost only 11 home games. They have a 921 winning percentage. Best of all D1 schools. I think they will be ready.
Aaand, that number is outrageously skewed by the fact that OU doesn’t play their main rival at home, but at a neutral site.

Be prepared to be shocked.
12 you mean. 🍊
The Vols haven't beaten the Sooners on the gridiron in 85 years.
That’s a fun fact but I’m very confused as to how that affects this year’s game.
They’ve only played 4 times and Tennessee had a new and trash HC in 2014/15
That's gon change September 21, 2024

Which are what we call in the football world, interceptions

I hope it’s a good game and everyone stays healthy
God Bless
I bet ou covers it thats my bet I wish I had a grand to throw at it
You can’t get Tennessee’s D-line tired. They play 3 different units
Also you’re talking about a Clemson team that’s a little different than this Oklahoma team
Homers lol
Unfortunately, I see this getting ugly fast for OU. Possibly 28-0 in the first quarter.

Jay Smith seems pretty ignorant on Tennessee’s defensive depth. There will be a new DL and LB group almost every series

@@JeromeStevens-qs8ef LOL. TFLs don’t tell the story to determine if a front 7 is legit.
