- Cool Japan 2024 is back at Universal Studios Japan! This year, My Hero Academia makes its debut in the park. Monster Hunter and Detective Conan return for this year's event. I try all the food, show you the merchandise, and try things I've never done at Universal Studios Japan!

Omg the presentation of the Ochaco mousse is super clever!! It's like she's using her quirk to float the fruit to the top of the dessert, and the jelly helps sell the idea in a really unique way 😄 Whoever on USJ's team thought of this deserves a raise fr, it's so cute!

What an amazing event. So much interesting interaction, beautifully displayed food and the dinner was superb. The violinist was wonderful. What an honour that they allowed you to film so much.

I went to the "JUJUTSU KAISEN The Real 4-D" last year. I just loved it. I do not under stand Japanese but I figured out the story line real quick.
I couldn't show it in the video, but the introduction for the MHA had a movie in the preshow area and it was subtitled in English. Made it a lot easier to understand what was happening from the beginning!

Cool channel. I was so close to visiting Japan one point myself. I had experience with modeling and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity to visit Asia.

I was there the 1st week of March for the One Piece World Championship. Took a flight to Osaka on monday and went on a wednesday. It was a great theme park, the single rider line made everything so fast and the Demon Slayer/My Hero attractions were phenomenal!

Oh man, I wish I could go to Universal Studios Japan to go to the My Hero Academia event going on there, but it’s probably going to end soon.
I kinda wish that i had your job. I love Theme parks and it must be great to test out new rides, New foods and New Merchandising.
I live in Germany and i was in Japan last year. We wanted to do multiple parks, but somehow only had time for one day at USJ. We are still paying off the Trip to Japan. So no trip abroad in 2024. Maybe in 2025 again.
I really like my hero academia. The Series is one of my comfort Series.
I would buy so much merch. One of my Favorite characters is denki kaminari.

I have a question: How many languages do you speak? And do you always book your Tickets in Japanese or in english?
Thank you so much for your kind words! I loved my job and I'm incredibly grateful that I am able to do this and share with the world (and you!) I speak English and Japanese but I also know a bit of French (Canadian) and some of my Indigenous language (Dene).
Man the amount of food you ate in this vlog. Not mad but wow! ❤the monster hunter was my favourite ❤
Dumb question. Are you allowed to try on the shirts and jackets in Japan? I haven't seen a lot of that in the videos I've watched but in America if we don't have dressing rooms people will often pull item over whatever loose fitting top they have to check the fit. Less so with shirts mind you, mostly with jackets and such merely for logistical reasons, but I was wondering if this was a cultural faux pas it were in Japan.
My daughter is a huge fan of MHA, so all the shirts say “Plus Ultra” on the back not “plus extra” like you side for one shirt, because it’s a catch phrase that started with the character All Might, but now all the younger next generation of heroes are saying it.
Also, one cool thing about the cookies and other MHA USJ merch is the fact that on the show, one of the training facilities shown is called the “Unforeseen Simulation Joint” commonly referred to as USJ. The students at UA even joke about it sounding too much like Universal Studios, but that’s why you see that specific teacher and building on the packaging, because it’s the USJ building. There’s even a TDL training facility as well.
Is there an opening date for Donkey Kong country?
Im not into games, but it was fun to watch. I like the pluche cat with the winter coat. The food looked amazing, too. ❣️🐈

the seeds look like basil seeds! us pakistanis use them in drinks for a "cooling" effect. they're supposed to be really good for your digestive system. :)

I was a little nervous to try the Monster Hunter XR Walk but I loved it so much more than I thought I would. Walking around was such a weird feeling but I loved it.
Chris, that steamed pork bun looked yummy, but the bun coloring worried me because in the US anything black has charcoal in it 😅 I hope Japan can create those colors in a "healthy" way
Typically, food that's coloured black in Japan uses squid ink. But I don't know for sure if that's the case for this particular item.
Not as cool as last year’s Spy x Family challenge, but the MHA merch is pretty good!

This looks very cool, I wish my hero academia could make its way to Universal Studios Hollywood, that's something that I would love to see them do, but unfortunately I think it'll happen, it's a dream land that I wished the park would create but it's very unlikely to happen because the property isn't popular by the community but by fans of the anime. But it's a dream that I wish can become a reality

I'm crying I love detective Conan since it started (97 saw it in tv for first time when I was 6 years old) I would die to see that but I'm going next year 😢 they are always changing the animes? Or I will be able to find detective Conan merchandise regardless? And the shows/games?
Detective Conan is a staple for Cool Japan and it'll likely be in next years version. It's been in the Cool Japan events for the last few years. They are, however, always changing things up.

I’ve heard the park opens earlier than it says it does, are all the areas/rides open that early or is it like universal Orlando and they only open certain things?
