Michaels last series in 1978 IMHO was the best when he moved to Sodberry Terrace, Mr Lewis aka Glynn Edwards was brilliant as his long suffering neighbour.
I've seen Michael Crawford in many other shows and he was nothing like Frank Spencer. This shows what an actor he was and still is. The fact that he always did his own stunts is a compliment to him too.
"Thats the best I can do for now". After he'd almost blown a house up! I'd definitely think twice before allowing Frank to come and fix something for me, for I think he'd turn even a simple task such as changing a plug or fuse, into a disaster!😁
You wouldn't know from the way he play's the biggest nincompoop that he has the most outstanding singing voice 🗣the little guy sings opera, and absolutely beautiful too...what a talented man...
Would you really like a person next door to you that was just like Mr F Spencer. I DON'T think so. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 I don't know about much being left of his own property but, yours wouldn't be much better within a week of him being there. 😁😁😁😁😁 But, Micheal C played that part with absolute perfection including his amazing , crazy stunts ( of which he did himself!!!)
None of what happened to Mr. Thompson and the milkman is Frank's fault this time. They should look before they proceed to open the door or drive out in the first place. But that ending...
It was a one-off for Sport Relief. After it aired there were calls for it to be made into a series but Michael Crawford said that whilst he was happy to come back as a one-off for charity, he didn't want to make another series.
Half the things Frank does "wrong" are often as not the other person's fault. That chap opening his car door at 2:35 for example - he should have checked, Frank didn't tell him to. Then hitting the milk float at 3:42. All that guy's fault. Then the silly arse has the cheek to blame Frank when he's kind enough to give him a lift! Poor Frank.
Shame about the Zephyr. What first losing it's door from a Fiat 128 (which surprisingly looked rust-free) then crashing into the milk float. Still, could have been much worse. Mr Lewis could have owned a Zodiac.
hellows everyone im lucy thomas my album is lucy thomas premire betweeeen ariana i the second actress and i so glad im singing just dance and pokerface
Who’d have thought watching him in this that he had such a magnificent singing voice . Man if many talents .
6:29 6:31 6:32
Always marvelled at his straight face in these episodes.😂
Frank blows up their house then casually walks away like nothing happened .classic😆
“That’s the best I could do”
🤣😂🤣😂
"that's the best I can do for you" hahaha

These episodes were filmed in my home town of Bedford and it caused quite a stir with lots of people gathered off camera watching.

Imagine Frank and Mr. Bean living in the same street.
I would move straight into that street. Be a great laugh
@@leemcaulay9138 it would actually.
Imagine them living in the same house, what could possibly go wrong.

Poor Frank. No wonder he is how he is. Everyone is so mean to him. He is so kind and gentle and people just can't stand him.

Both Michael and Michelle could never get their voices right during rehearsals which worried them but they always got their voices right for filming!
I'm actually crying, I've laughed so much at the end that I have nothing else to do but cry.
Make way for the milkman
Room for him allow
With his cheery call, he's a friend to all
And he's cheaper than the cow
Love the end "That's the best I can do for now" 😀
Mike Crawford is a brilliant actor/ Singer
Frank was funny and I got to say just looking at the videos makes my day lol
Politeness costs nothing Neither does a puch in the teeth!! Brilliant!!!!
The house blowing up was so funny!!
Yeh lol
“ That’s the best I can do for now “ he says after the house blows up lol
In fairness, that wasn't franks fault - the car door, or the milk float.
who's fault was it then?
@@bp6329 The other guy who opened the car door is at fault for not looking.
And I donno what happened with milkfloat, but that's not Frank's fault.
@@colinjava8447 yes it was, you're talking out of your arse.
I love Frank 🤣 I wish I had a neighbour like him..

Why was Betty so loyal to Frank? He must've been doing something right in the bedroom!
She loves Frank because he loves her.
Nobody wondered about that then. We didn't have such one-track minds as you seem to have in these 'enlightened' times.
It is eluded to in the immigration interview. He had to stop playing cricket as the pads gave it a rash.
Look where Betty goes to touch.

Damn this dude is like mr. Magoo and mr bean rolled in 1 nut cake
Brilliant acting and stunts by Michael Crawford
Anyone notice at 1:30 the shadow of the boom mic?
a classic from the golden age of comedy the 1970s
2:31 that's why we should check mirrors and use the dutch reach before opening car doors
What is the dutch reach?
The ending with the house blowing up made me wet my pants.😂😂😂😂
Frank and mr bean and Rodney Dangerfield 😂 together in a show
Michael Crawford was probably one of the best comedians around

The town hall seems like a strange venue for wrestling. Is it normal in England, or was it at that time.
Yes, it was. Many Town Halls had/have a multi-purpose function room that could be used for concerts and other entertainments.
