    Thanks for the great review. I've had the fives for almost a year now, I added a Klipsch 12 inch sub to them and they sound awesome. I just ordered the nines and can't wait to hear them. I'll keep the fives and put them in my travel trailer. Take care and God bless.

    I agree mostly. I've got the nines with Klipsch's 16" sub, connected with the wireless wa-2. Adding the sub made something very good sound phenomenal. I use it in a master bedroom and even at very low volume, I'm astounded with the fullness and clarity. $ for $, I don't know how it can be done better. I started with a pair of the Fives which I was initially very happy with, until I heard the Nines.

    I plan to buy 2.0 or 2.1 stereo system primarily for music listening (80 %), secondly connected to TV as home theater system (20%). For me punchy and tight bass is important. If i add a subwoofer (RP-1200SW or RP-1400SW) to The Nines, is it suitable also for listening to music? Or it would it be better to chose RP-8000F II with a receiver?

    Somehow I clipped my amp on my fives. I had the volume around 75% playing Korn. I'm assuming the amp ran out of power at that volume. I should have used a sub to avoid pushing the amp too hard. Shame they don't have Digital Decoders built into powered speakers like Dts, Dolby Digital, that's one thing that soundbars have over powered speakers. With Klipsch powered speakers you only get 2ch PCM and miss the LFE channel from Movies but be okay for 2ch Music

    • @homecinemaking397

    I've been complaining for years about manufacturers simply brushing over the single 8 inch / tweeter set up. Monitor Audio came to the rescue with the Bronze 100's.
    These 9's though, are simply on another level, especially because they're now powered. The fives were good: I reckon the Nines will simply blow most audiophiles away. ..

    To my ears, neither pair are tuned correctly (9s too much bass and 8000s not enough) John Hunter at Rel has a video showing how to do it with a sub but the same principle works with the woofer(s) but the speaker must be bi-amped so you can't fix the 9s. Starting with low gain to the bass drivers, slowly increase the bass WHILE LISTENING TO THE MIDS AND HIGHS until they reach their peak performance. Small tweeks to your preference. Too much bass muddies the rest.

    • @grgapitic5768
      @grgapitic5768 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A lot can be achieved by positioning and EQ. The REL method applies to match subwoofer levels, preferably with their direct speaker terminal connection - not the crossover levels between Midrange -Tweeter Horn in a 2-way bookshelf.
