How to install a Dominator HP8 exhaust system on a Yamaha tracer 9gt (or maybe not)🙈

Dominator HP8 install on a 2022 Yamaha Tracer 9GT, had a little issue with the install but it’s all good now! Hi, no problems at all! Sounds great! Just measure the original against the new one to see the difference in mm so you know how much to pack it with

Hi Tom.. mine is being delivered Friday and will be installing Saturday.. will be sure to measure .. do you think this was just a manufacturing problem?? I havent heard of any others having issued on the forums

@@imprezabob yeah, more than likely manufacturing issue, as I asked a few others with the same bike and exhaust and they all said it was straight forward with no issues!

@@Toms-trips I already sheared a manifold bolt off previously when trying to undo them to fit a different exhaust.. after all that it turns out they had sent me the wrong bloody exhaust 🤦🏻

Hi, thanks for the video. Question, do I need 5mm washers to put between the nut and the bracket? That's pretty thick. Thanks

Hi, I don’t think it needed to be packed out 5mm, sure it was just a few washers that was needed, the 5mm was just the difference in the exhausts, suppose it really depends on how the engine studs are sitting! Just measure out from the engine block to the start of the threads on the studs and measure the bracket that’s getting bolted on and that will tell you if you need to pack out and if so by how much

Comes with the main 3 pipes to connect to the exhaust ports, also a pipe with 3 inlets to 1 - that comes with springs to attach! Then that whole section goes into the end can! That comes with the springs to keep it together! Hope that helps

What did you do to accommodate the 5mm difference? Just some washers on the bolt to space it out?

Yep exactly! Wish I had checked it before hand - would have saved me a lot of hassle🙈
