A Neat Fact About The 700.
Due To Her Whistle Being Stolen, SP 4449 Used 700's Whistle In 1975, 1976 And 1977 Then Again From 1984 To 1989 Until 700 Was Restored.

God!!! She's pretty! (I don't have my fact sheet in front of me), but I'm assuming she's of an ALCO build. Her whistle is very similar to 4014, 3985 and 844..Your thoughts? More info. please as to her rebuild.

Similar whistles, a Hancock 3 chime. However, the 700 is a Baldwin build.

She preserves the legacy of Northern Pacific’s northerns, especially the A-3’s since she’s a copy of that design as per typical SP&S traditions.
