This is a lovely woman, so grounded, and realistic, modest, and just kind and positive! Im girl crushing at the moment, and feel like I almost have a role model to follow. 😊 I have also loved the info she gave about life there! Thank you for sharing!

You have to try to befriend Saudi women and they'll invite you to their family meetings which some of them are weekly, monthly and yearly and most of them are so fun with parties and pools
Thank you very much for this video! If you have a chronic underlying illnesses(arthritis), would you recommend going to live in Saudi Arabia? Would you expect to have a good treatment ( not emergency) but constant checkout blood test etc?
Diana Sandoval your very welcome. Thanks for comment. To be honest, that’s a question for your doctor. Here’s what we can tell you, if you’re filing for an iqama, you’ll have to do a lot of medical testing and produce some health records before you head to Saudi. Also, it’s a very hot and dry climate, so is that good for arthritis? Treatment wise, it depends on the hospital but overall, yes, it’s good. Thanks again for reaching out. We’d love to have you as a subscriber as we’re building toward 10k! 😀
We love the idea. Do you happen to know anyone willing to do an interview? We can certainly attempt to source it again, but we've tried in the past and failed.
Great video! It's nice that her Masters Degree affords her to be the Manager of the University Teaching Staff. Very interesting work and life choice. Her baby is adorable. I am curious how she met her husband? Is he from the USA?
A lot of these are about teaching jobs. I'm a registered nurse here in the U.S, and wanted information about nursing positions. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
Thanks for your comment. We are extending our network and getting more diversity among the industries that our interviewees work in. We rarely meet expat travel nurses but they surely exist. While living in Saudi, all of the nurses and doctors that I dealt with were foreigners. Is there a specific country that you're interested in?
i dunno about nurse recruiting system in saudi, but indeed there are nursing job for foreigner. up until 2016 when i left saudi, most of nursing job, also doctors, filled by foreigner. but so far i only seen nurses from asia: philippine (is the most) and indian. for philippine fact i do not know why they got hired so many, maybe because their english. as for indian, i guess it's because high population of indian in saudi arabia. as for doctors, i saw a lot of coming from middle eastern countries and indian. i've been in 3 private hospital and i never seen westerner nurses. if you interesting, maybe you should check the hospital websites.

Well I must say that I do very much appreciate these interviews, I will say that as you watch more of them you realize that the questions don't really help you understand whether or not you would be qualified for a position in Saudi. For instance was she trained to teach college aged students already? I personally have a master's in curriculum and instruction and teach ESOL but only K-5. From what I understand the only options to teach elementary aged students would be in international schools? Also, does she have to write her own curriculum and assessments? What are the guidelines for the actual teaching? These are the kinds of questions teachers seriously interested in teaching in Saudi would have. Too much emphasis on the cultural aspects, and not enough on qualifications and content.
@@lockergr Hi, sorry that you didn't find the video more useful. I think we could start asking questions about qualifications. Ideologically, we don't ask those types of questions because we want to make the tone of the videos more about living in the new country and preparing people for a move. Some of us on staff know Liz personally and we can answer these questions for you. She wasn't trained to teach college aged kids. International schools would offer you good pay and something close to what you're used to in terms of class structure compared to teaching at a university. It's probably a little easier to get a university job in some regards because the expectations on new hires is a bit less but getting stricter. If you have a degree in ESL or ESOL and you want to teach at university but you have zero experience, you'll sure find a university program in Saudi to hire you. They're really hard up for teachers there. International schools have to be more rigid because of accreditation. In Liz's particular program, it's a very simple and straight forward design. All of the teachers teach the same thing and rarely do they vary from course curriculum because time-wise, it's not possible. Things are very regimented in her program. They basically teach by the book and if an instructor has a cohort that's exceptional, they might have to get a few external resources on their own to help challenge their group or give them additional practice, but this is a massive exception. We understand that you didn't get as much out of the video as you would have liked. We're also happy that what you did notice in the video is what our target was. Your feedback is great and appreciated. Let us know if these answers here suffice or if you'd like anything else answered. Also, we're a paid consulting company that is available to speak with you via FaceTime or Skype. That's our bread and butter.
@@ExpatsEverywhere hello thanks for the great work that you do..am a certified bookkeeper z there anyway I can reach you and help me because though am a bookkeeper I can still teach..so I pray that you can see my comment and help me for more information btw an from Africa Uganda hopefully you can help me..thx
for private hospital, i recommending the Saudi Germany hospital other private hospital are joke cuz the doctor there are mostly doesn't have much great medical educational background ti go to these private hospitals in case i don't have serious illness and i don't want to go to crowded public hospital for other hospitals i recommending National guards hospitals or King Faisal Hospital most of doctors in these hospitals are Saudi who graduated from US, Canada and Germany universities , for public or military hospital you can go there only in case of energency so you can go to emergency section then they will take car of you
Saudi is safe place for women to travel and work. This year 2018 they are allowing women to drive. Baby name is yashin? Muslim name. Married to Muslim?

The best thing that can help u with adjusting to society and local people there ....read 2 books BEFORE going there and leave these books behind (do NOT take these books to any Muslim country because this info is only for "By Birth" muslims.... even if u convert to Islam u r not a By birth muslim). Read 2 books. 1. Why I am not a Muslim 2. People vs Mohammed. Even if a book is written by a Mulim author like this it is considered blasphemy and that is punishable by death. This knowledge will help u understand what locals r taught and why and where r they comming from.... understanding the facts helps adjust and stay safe.
I am sorry but the last cons are not at all true. Probably Saudies are the easiest people to become friends with VERY FAST and they are the most social people I have ever seen
