I have this pedal, it NAILS the Yngwie tone perfectly. Set to Si and 250, using it with amplitube 5, I can exactly replicate the Alcatrazz and Rising Force tones. Amazing pedal
@@romali6717 Yes you can use it as a boost as it has a level knob. I put the DOD250 before. The CE-1 is a bit like a Tube Screamer but more transparent. I don't know how Yngwie set up his pedals at the time of Alcatrazz "Metallic Live" though.

More like some companies aren't paying their workers properly so they sell cheap... Small pedal companies that pay their workers well also have to put the high price, otherwise it's impossible. Anyway I'm broke so i always go buying used, be it Asian or western.
@Strange Tapes I've recently picked up a Loophole Pedals Grey Matter and testing it out. I'm not sure about it yet as it lacks some of the dynamics I have in other drive pedals, but it is a sound.
@romali6717 when you're sitting in a hospital for 3 days trying to decide whether or not to buy this pedal and every demo is ineffective to one degree or the other, one might be inclined to unreservedly lash out at peoples' skills or lack thereof. I apologize for any offense but stand by my sentiment Your playing didn't exactly showcase the pedal but it felt like it was more about you and "your sound"...
@@romali6717 I appreciate the look out. But the thing about broken pedals, just because one breaks doesn't mean the entire model line will break. Also, it's a 30$ pedal. If it breaks, I'll just send it back. If the next one breaks too, then there's cause for alarm.

I've never understood the popularity of this style of pedal.
I would say the DOD retains the front of the note slightly better.
Malmsteen and Randy Rhoads basically. On its own not to exciting, but in front of a plexi it is fun.
