I'm a cuber, not a speedcuber, but I love Mirror cubes so I had to get this one for my collection as soon as it went on pre-sale because I loved the color!
All these years, I've never once tried solving thickest layer first. I usually start with the thinnest layer, so now I'll have to try the other way since you say it's easier for recognition!

This gives me hope that I'll be able to beat my PB with the GAN Mirror Block as well! I also need over 1 minute so far 😅 Amazing review!!!
I have never even gotten a mirror cube and he said this cube it a bit expensive but I think it is cheap compared to the other gan cubes

So excited to see reviews of this cube. Even though mine is here already and I’m loving mine! Just got a PB of ~1.5mins yesterday. I do thickest layer as cross too, I find it easier to find my pieces overall, and OLL/PLL recognition is easier too. For PLL recognition I actually think it’s really easy, because instead of recognising opposite pieces, I look for same length pieces. Like the T perm would be two ‘parallel’ (same length) pieces on the top and bottom. Headlights are a bit harder to see since there’s something of different length in the middle. But you can just look top down and see all the pieces in one go so there’s no need to worry about things 2-sided recognition and that makes it much easier IMO! Just see what are the same length pieces together (or none at all!)

I ordered one and got it last week. It is amazing. Not perfect, but still wonderful. I've seen that the folks I bought it from are out of stock now, so I got lucky. I checked today it it looked like dailypuzzles may have them.
I hope you'll make some comments about bump-cube-specific techniques (starting side choice recommendations for Roux and CFOP, for instance.) Regardless, I'm juiced about what seems to be a lot of enthusiasm for this product, I wonder if it might lead to another event at cubing competitions?
Thanks for your comment. I don’t know Roux enough to make helpful suggestions, but I did comment a bit on what Braden Richards (current WR holder) advices!

Hi Tingman! I absolutely love your high quality videos and this is no exception. Another idea for a high quality video is about the Rubik's Race. I remember you saying that you could make a video of it in a video about the Rubik's Slide, if my memory serves me correctly. I'm really interested in the Rubik's Race, because there's no real advanced tutorials or other brands producing it or really anyone talking about it. I personally average around 17 seconds (although sometimes I get a bad time because of bad luck) and I would LOVE to see how that compares to your times. Again, I love your videos, they are wonderful, entertaining and still wholesome, after all this time and I hope you consider my idea! Thanks again :)

Gan mirror will be my first mirror cube (I have solved online once though) I find mirror cube the same as normal cube but it's a bit harder to recognize the piece

The great thing about mirror cubes is that even scrubs like me can solve them with their eyes closed. Its pretty easy if you can do a regular 3x3 after you learn how to feel the pieces.
