Thank you very much for sharing this video. It helps me a lot to change Airsuspension on both sides. 👍🍻 ps before i saw you video i cut a hole i the damaged one to release the air out of it. One little advice for the others... never take the car off the Lift without inflated Airsuspension. Only touch the ground with the rear wheels and turn the car on and wait until the compressor pumps air in it and lifts the car. Cheers from 🇨🇭
Over maintaining and repairing our cars over years myself ( cause we have to pay a lot for our House) i become more and more interested and fascinated in driving and motors. It becomes a passion. So we bought , drive and maintain two Summercars with 360 and 550hp. Like our children an dogs, they are part of the Family. Keep up the good work !

Getting dirty and greasy sometimes is fun and I am agree with what you said, no workshop would have spent a single second cleaning up all the components. I definitely love your mind set and attitude in your videos, please keep going.
Another excellent video, thank you. I agree, why pay someone if you have the tools and a lift. It probably would have taken much longer to drive to the dealer, wait for the car to be serviced, and drive home.

Thanks for your video, it was very helpful. When I removed all the plastic and drained the air from the compressor, it hit me. Had it not been easier to drill holes in the old ones ;)
That's how I did it. 4mm hole and it takes a minute for the air to escape ... to be on the safe side I pulled the fuse for the compressor, but I don't think it's really necessary

hi im going to be changing my air bags tomorrow but iv noticed on some videos they take the brass fitting out of the new air bag and attach it the pipe first but in your video you push fit the connector what is the correct procedure ?

My suspension inflated but sometimes I come out and it’s deflated.. I’ve sprayed the air suspension with soapy water and it’s not leaking.... what does the solenoid do?? Could it get stuck and the release stage somehow?

Was your problem solved by replacing the airbag. My look like it has the same problem but the strange thing is that it look like it is intermitent. Almost every morning the right back look like a lowrider but not always. Now and then it look like everything is ok. Strange! I don't want to replace a part that isn't broken
If you have access to a lift let the compressor run and spray soapy water on everything related to the pneumatic lines and bags. If you don't see any leaks remove the line from the bags and feel if any air is pumped to the bags. if air is being pumped to the bag I would assume the bag needs replacing, if not it's a bad valve.

Hi very good video. I saw another video also on replacing air suspension on a F11. But instead of letting air Pressure out at the compressor he just cut a Hole in The old air suspension to let The pressure out. Do you know if this could be a time saving move?

Sorry for late reply :-( No I have never replaced the air compressor, but it looks quite straight forward. We ware of the electronics. My recommendation is that you remove the battery before you start. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

I tried that but because I had to Jack the car up bleeding wasn't possible. Was just being lazy not removing that cover, I managed to do it within 1 hour on my lunch break at work using your video so thank you so much for the video 😊

Hello again :) Id be very grateful if someone could confirm... When i twist the new air spring into place, when it is deflated, the upper mechanical connection onto the car doesnt really 'click' into place. It hangs there, but it can be wobbled around extremely easily by hand. If you wobble it too much, it drops out. Should the airspring click into place, so the top of it is positively engaged and motionless? Many thanks for your previous answer. R
Hello everyone. I am performing the same piece of work on my BMW 530D MSport Touring (F11). Does anyone have a recommendation for manufacturers of the air spring? There is a lot of variability in price, with a single OEM part costing approximately £600 new. High end replicas are approx £300 (Arnott, Ansler), with the bottom of the range brands costing £70. Any experiences and perspectives would be welcomed. Many thanks.

@@JankoLind thanks very much for the recommendation, but Ive already gone with Miessler Automotive, a fantastic german firm that source and assemble from the same suppliers as OEM but vastly cheaper than OEM. I bought an air compressor there for 300€ that is manufactured by the same supplier as BMW, but BMW charge nearly 1000€ for it. Very pleased with it, give them a look for anything to do with air suspension, they deserve a glowing review.
Once you have a "garaje" with an elevator and a porshe that you fiddle at when you have spare time.. that means you probably not as disperate as other people that are trying advertise what they are doing.. and get some pences of yt.
Everything is much easier having an elevator! Not in a million years would you have taken wife's car to a service. You will have been stupid for doing that...
Good work but to see that you bought the same shity quality BMW Luftbalg let me see that you dont care about the car. Another point why talking bad about the car. Why don't you bought a stronger engine with m performance then ?

Air bags? the air suspension is apache fit solution. Read the instructions that follow the suspension.

My GUESS, is that the air suspension is broken, hard to find the leak by spray water on the air suspension.

My problems was solved, strange with you problem, perhaps dirt on sensors?
Did you find out what the problem was? I have this same problem...
I have one side thats too low? 2014 520d
Otherwise the other side perfectly fine, car has been involve in small accident

No if you could bleed with a computer that would be a good to go.

What make did you use? Original BMW or other? Prices vary with 500%.
Arnot air suspension, they deliver to BMW.

I have seen normal coilovers on KW‘s website for the F11 is it possible to fit those without any modifications?

You did not manage to get the top pipe pulled in 100%. Just give it another push and you are good to go.
Why not just cut the old suspension bags, that way you doesn't have to dissasemble the plastics and the compressor 👍😀
