    I’m so happy he mentioned Chad. I feel like Pharrell gets all the credit for the Neptunes’ success. Chad was the other mastermind that put the magic and flavor in the Neptune productions we hear. People don’t know how much of a genius that man is.

    • @bklyncrook
      @bklyncrook 2 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      He mentioned Chad before Pharrell, so Tyler knows what's up. Mainstream people will mainly know about Pharrell due to the large amount of exposures he gets from being a judge on the voice, singing the hooks on popular songs by Jay-Z, Busta and so worth. However, people that dug deeper will find out how important Chad is to the production team. Good thing, there're videos and people documenting their process during creation, recordings and such. One example that I will never forget was the video of a studio session for Justin Timberlake's first solo album, where JT and Pharrell were playing around with the piano for some chords, but, never were able to get through the groove. Chad standing on the background listening to them for a bit, once they were done trying, Chad sat their and bridge all the keys/melody/groove of what they were trying to do. It was a funny take, because Chad almost came across as the SNL character that Jimmy Falon played as the IT guy. Like if Chad was patiently listening and waiting; then telling them to move out the way, then sat there, played the song and thought loudly, "was that so hard?"

      @Dwyanerose 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@snubcode7121 I know I am late with this comment but I don’t see how my comment indicates that I’m lost big bro.
      Respectfully my comment makes a lot of sense, I’m not sure if you really understand what I meant by what I said because I’m not sure if you are even blk American, or know the history of hip hop/blk. American cult_ure and the bet awards. I will explain it for you though in the simplest terms that even a 6 year old can understand.
      Firstly, I said that I’m glad that blk American peple are starting accept our differences because if you know even a little bit of history in hip hop, artist like Tyler the creator was never really accepted like that within the confines of hip hop. Tyler the creator is not g@ngster, he don’t pretend to be tough, and he’s a bi-s3xual male and his music is also non-convientional. If you was to tell me a decade ago when Tyler came out with Yonkers that he would have won a bet award I’d probably laugh In your face lol.
      And secondly, I said that I’m glad that my peple are supporting bet again because it’s literally a platform that celebrates blk American music and blk American culture and I’m glad that blk American artist are starting to put that on a pedastol again and treating it with respect like we used to back in the day when we had legendary performances from Beyoncé/Jay z/Destiny child, prince, Charlie Wilson, Micheal Jackson/James brown ext.
      Micheal jackson had g00ns/rappers in the crowd at the bet awards cry1ng and fainting over him just showing up on stage with James brown lol.
      These are the iconic moments that made us blk americans light up with joy watching from our tv boxes in the early 2000s bro, the bet award was an event every year.
      If you’re offended by me speaking specifically on blk Americans just know that I don’t mean any disrespect towards any other r@ce dude, I’m purely just speaking from my perspective as a blk American. I don’t even know if other r@ces of non blk peple watch the B.E.T awards amyways, I always thought that most non blk peple watched the Grammys, VMA, CMA ext…
      If I’m wrong then I’ll gladly concede, but at the end of the day it’s a good thing regardless what I said because if blk peple don’t support each other and come together like I said then we will never get these types of legendary moments like we have gotten in years past. So really you should be happy at my statement if you’re a fan of the bet awards dudes

    He had Roy Ayers, Wanya Morris, Charlie Wilson and Dam-Funk as features on "Cherry Bomb", Tyler been payin' homage to the legends that paved the way for him. Not only the rappers, but the pioneers of some of your favourite genres. It's sad that a speech like this is needed for some of you to catch up. Do your own research..

God created a platform called hip hop for us to Express ourselves and explore his world not just our neighborhood, our block or our city. Now that's a priceless gift.
