Spider-Man does not get to draw for Spider Sense when defending for another player, because the trigger is not satisfied. The villain is initiating an attack on the other player, not you.
Extra Encounter Cards won't activate until the Encounter step of the Villain phase just FYI. You'll ever deal with them during the Encounter step.

It comes from the Arkham rule that you can't expressly state what's in your hand!

Anyone else notice that the stats on heroes: Thwart (Blue), Attack (Red), and Defense (Green) don't match the aspects? For some reason, Justice - which is tied to the Thwart stat, is yellow coded and Leadership which is unique is blue? Kind of odd design choice.
Thor's alter-ego would be Donald Blake or Odinson I guess?
Why would they match? Justice isn’t tied to anything. It doesn’t work like that. Which hopefully you know by now since that was a year ago

I’m hoping for x men to but I don’t think they will ever, maybe wolverine, but since ffg made that mutant insurrection game I doubt it’ll ever happen

It's a nice smooth riffle shuffle, as opposed to the ones the others were doing which were bending the cards back and forth.
Popping in to ask... aren’t you supposed to deal an encounter card to each player during phase 2 of the Villain phase? Then proceed with revealing and resolving them.

Does anyone know if there is any kind of plan for campaign/continuous story play, like Arkham, or is each time you play going to be a one off. I’m really hoping there’s going to be some connected scenarios, even if it’s later down the line
If there is one, it will be later down the line Paul. We have heard no mention of supporting a more Arkham-esque scenario system.
So am i understanding correctly that you take a hero deck and an aspect deck - combine the two (kinda like smashup) then use neutral cards to fill out the last spaces of your card-count?
I mean, there is no "aspect deck", you can have any mix of neutral cards and cards from your chosen aspect, what they showed is just an easy way to deckbuild out of the core.
Out of the Core Set, that's basically correct. You could also cut aspect cards to make room for more neutrals.
Once more releases are out, each Aspect will have a full card pool to build from.

I object to the number of times you forgot to object =) . As a Lawyer IRL i feel obligated to play She-Hulk. Its awesome that her playstyle happens to fit my taste as well. So want this game

How many aggressive cards are there supposed to be? I think I’m missing some.
Protection = Spirit, Justice = Lore, Aggression = Tactical, Leadership = Leadership.
This seems really slimmed and straightforward, but still with a lot of strategic and meaningful choices. There's been an evolution from LotR and Arkham, you can clearly see what the designers liked and kept from previous games. Only thing I don't like is the design and art of the cards. Nothing wrong with the superhero theme, but do you really have to all the way with the font looking like the Adam West Batman show? Sure, everything doesn't have to be dark and gritty, but isn't there a middle ground?

Just looking at those 'stun' and 'confused' status markers sinks my desire to buy the game. Just a personal feeling.

How did you assemble the hit point dials? I just bought a new copy of the game and the hit point dials don't line up at all.
Just in case, you kinda have to “snap” them in. The small circles on the dials ended up with a slight bump on their edges before I was able to snap the black plastic pieces together. Hope that helps!
@@JoeyjojoShabadoo7 I realized I had to pull them apart. The instructions never said to do that, so I tried putting them in as is. I realize now that they put the two ends together and you had to pull them apart. But I ended up getting character customized trackers which is so much better.
Wondering how long we have to wait till the superhero/villain card sleeves get announced. If they do hopefully it's not as along a gap as it took for the Legend of the 5 rings ones to drop, by which time I'd already sleeved my decks in others.
Actually as you're there, collar someone at FFG and tell them if they are going to do sleeves don't faff around until a year after the game is out. Just thinking if someone at FFG or Marvel hasn't thought of sleeves they are so not thinking.

I wonder if they'll ever implement rules to be able to create decks with multiple aspects, such as a Protection/Justice Spider-Man, or a Leadership/Aggression Captain Marvel, etc., etc?
As long as you stay within the card limits (50) I see no reason why you couldn’t do it now.
Near the end, when Vision attacked twice, wouldn't he have died from retaliate before doing his second attack?
Yes he would have, they kept forgetting retaliate

So if you draw cards based on the hero card ... Iron man starts with one Card?
On Iron man's alter ego side (Tony Stark) he draws 6 cards and you start the game on your alter ego side

No, it looks like some of it is in-house from FFG. You can tell if an illustrator is listed, then it's FFG. If no illustrator is listed, it was licensed from Marvel.

We as anyone else cringing when guys were shuffling the cards without sleeves? Lol
Immediately turned off by the 1-of-each-neutral. So it's a full playset, except not really. If I want to have multiple neutrals in any given deck, I can't unless I'm player with less players or I buy more Core Sets. Same LCG garbage they always do. It doesn't look like a big deal, but as someone who wants to be able to easily allow my friends to deck build (a-la Netrunner), the LCGs always get me with these little things that drive me crazy.
Edit: If there was an option to buy a blister pack that had a full play-set of these neutrals, then I'd be happy. But they aren't doing that.
They actually say that there is 4 of every neutral in the core set. At around 2:10.
@@wern212 Correct. There's only 4 - 1 for each player. But you can have more than one in a deck. Which means no individual player can have more than one in their deck unless you're playing with less than 4 players. And even then, you have to decide who gets it.
@@CriticalComplainer This is not perfect, but waaaay better than previous LCG coresets, where the most important card were 1 per coreset. Here you would have to buy 1 coreset per player, which is better. You can't expect to have 4 coresets for a price of 1
@@CriticalComplainer From what I just saw in the video, you won't have to do much deciding with 2 players, as it seems there are plenty of cards and options in the core set. Certainly at 4 players, and maybe at 3, but if you are routinely playing with 4 you probably want to buy another core anyway. Compared to most LCG's having to buy 2 cores for 4 players is still doable. And honestly, compared to CCG's or other collectible hobbies the LCG model is already incredibly cheap.
@@wern212 Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's a fairly minor thing. But it drives me crazy none-the-less. I loved Netrunner because I didn't have to worry about this kind of stuff. I hate every other LCG because it's super difficult to build a collection to share with friends (Arkham isn't as bad, LotR is probably the worst).
I'm also curious if the rules state that only 1 player can play any given aspect or if theoretically multiple people could provided they have the cards for it.

I get it it’s a card game, but yikes, not knowing who Sam Wilson is and initially stating its punisher... plus the marketing manager should know the characters as it’s crucial to market the game.
It's hard to watch these videos because you guys are always wondering about what you're looking at. "Who's that in the Cap suit? I don't know.", "Wait She-Hulk's a lawyer?" It's genuinely bewildering to me. How do you not know basic Marvel characters? It's gonna be hilarious if/when FFG gets to obscure heroes like Doctor Druid, Firebird, Texas Twister, Paladin, Stingray, etc. LoL.
