I forgot to mention on my previous comment that I appreciate that you include the little struggles that comes with splitting firewood with a wood splitter in your video, I include these slight struggles too in my videos with the Wolfe Ridge 28 Pro. I've really been hammering out the oak splits the last couple of weeks, approximately 9 full cords now, another 8 cords to go, just splitting for my own wood boiler.🔥
Very impressive force behind the ram! I just picked up my 28 Pro from Wolfe Ridge MFG in Eau Claire, WI a couple of weeks ago, waiting for the weather to break here in West Central Wisconsin to start splitting 17 cords of oak. A new subscriber here. Appreciate seeing TH-cam videos in normal speed throughout the video tho.
@Colby’s Firewood - saw a comment where you were saying you wished you had sized up to the box wedge machine? I need to ask why? I am approaching the time where I need to place an order for a Wolfe Ridge, & trying to find out which model to select. Any in site would be appreciated on why you selected the machine you did. Thanks in advance & Enjoy your day Around the Yard! - Brent
Money was the only reason I didn’t go with the box wedge, but I am happy with my machine so far. I just like how the box wedge makes perfect bundle wood
I think you have an awesome splitter and it would be good for an older guy like me.realy makes mine look like a little toy it's a short 12•5 ton old splitter and I am too old.time to upgrade thank you for your video enjoyed it.
came across your vid as I am interested in these wolf ridge splitters. I see you struggling with getting the logs off especially the 6 way splits. Wanted to ask, why not just place the next piece behind it and continue splitting? It would then push the ' stuck ' pieces past being fully split and you wont be pulling and chopping them apart?
@@colbysfirewood800 I have also been curious why the push block stops so far away from the wedge. Seems to me it could come a lot closer but still without touching. If they did that it seem that it would also alleviate the partially split pieces unless they fell outside of the push plate dimension

Thank you! It takes too much time to edit out the bad! Those wood boilers will go through some wood.

Good to meet you! Those 17 cords will go by quick!
I have about the same set up with a 36 stroke. I’m pretty satisfied with mine. I would recommend this machine to anyone.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. I usually don’t like to pick the pieces back up from the ground.

Looking good buddy, got your system worked out. Did you get the auto cycle after the fact? I don’t remember seeing it in your other video
I got it put on a few days after I got the machine because the handle broke off during shipping. Besides that the machine has been great.
How do you like that splitter now bud? Still good?
Oh yes. Wish I would have went a size up so I could run a box wedge
Thank you ,I ordered one but didn’t take delivery yet. best of luck with your machine bud!
Is the auto detent not working?
I fixed it right after that video.
классный аппарат..!
