you should put optics grips and an laser on the gun to show all the possible capabilities of the set.
Might be a dumb question but how is the bipod suppose to fold? Or is the intent to replace the bipod with one that mount to the handguard? I do like the modernization but collapsing the bipod is nice in terms of carry the RPK long distances.

I came up with a cheaper simpliler solution for using B-25U rail that we can't get. The RK-2 foregrip will still be at a 45° I have it on an AK and an AR-15. I'll post a video soon.
zenitco i love you you are best brand for rpk my favorite grip is the ARKA 2 grip and the RK-1
Did you test this combo on field condition. From outside it looks great but im worry about durability of this 3 piece handguard, especialy when you add bipod to this setup. And with this long handguard with not a lot contack points i bet that laser will be not extremely usefull.
Please find a way to import to the US again!!!

Does anyone know if the Sport 5U Kit will fit on 16.5 inch barreled FM Veprs? It looks like it might be a little bit too long for the front sight base to clear, but it's too hard tell.

I wish I knew you weren't supposed to file the handguards, I filed mine to fit a Draco pistol, it seems to be pretty tight still but now I probably can't move it to another gun

Well, in that case buying out a little startup like that shouldn't be a big problem for the government. Quite a typical thing these days.
I heard versions that such covers add some weight and complexity to the construction anyway, so the army prefers not to mess with these. But judging from what I heard from the people who had battle experience with ak12, the ak12's dust covers tend to loosen over time...
@@hepcat93 Weight of the rails doesn't seem that significant, especially when it adds so much benefit. And the top rails have alot of issues losing 'zero' so to speak as the AK rifle was not designed to mount optical sights there, maybe the Russian army should stick with the side mounts that Mr. Kalashnikov designed as they work great 😄! Zenitco already designs B-13 rail for Picatinny mounted sights.
@@skibur848 I agree that speaking about custom dust covers being too heavy may sound as a bit of overkill 😅 but since ak's with all the possible accessories attached become really heavy by the modern standards (up to 5 kilograms), this makes the topic valid 😹 at least in the eyes of some people.
Rails attached to the traditional side mount certainly add weight. That's why they tried something else on ak12.
You know, when I looked at the original Armalite rifle (ar-10 if I'm not mistaken), then at ar15 and its m1-m4 modifications for the army I came to realisation that... no one planned to use rails on them as well! Back in the day at least. It was just a good coincidence, that having upper and lower in the rifle just suits for this purpose better 🤔
Btw, I've already seen a Kalashnikov made in same fashion, they just decided it doesn't suit for the army. Little batch was produced and exists in flesh already!
@@hepcat93 The Kalashnikov design can certainly work in the modern army, but it will need modification! For now this is just conjecture, we will have to see what the professionals come up with!
