Check out Fuuegos on Warwick Road in Tyseley. Its a hidden gem, their burgers are amazing and their creamy naga chips are the best around. Trust me you will not regret it
You need to go to Damascena in B'ham. Shawarma city is kinda a dirty kebab-ish shawarma (taste amazing) but Damascena is more authentic in taste and ingredients (Khubz, tahini, kabees etc)

The best shawarma in Birmingham is Erbil shawarma on soho rd handsworth.It has a tropical salad/fruit section with so many pickle variations to chose from for your toppings on your shawarma sandwich.Even the lamb shawarma is 100% Lean lamb with 15% fat ration so it’s juicy and succulent.No place like this in Birmingham even though all shawarma places are same and bock standard
Dixy in Nechells is the best dixy around not your average dixy they use there own spices in the sizzler chicken, there niblets are a must try and chill sauce is 🔥
smaller good takeaways are in my opinion: Kebabish portland road - recently tried their pizzas which are really good and the lamb donner is always good. Hassan kebabhouse I recommend the COD masala fish in naan and maybe their chicken fillet burger (which is massive). Best pizza place I know is toppings in cape hill Smethwick or Caspian's again on Dudley rd.
Hayman, you should try the pizza place next door. There is another Shawarma place literally across the street from Shawarma City called MAKAN. I think it's much better.
It's hard to suggest to suggest that tourists venture out to suburbs like Lozells, Erdington and other areas though - yes, they're only 3-4 miles outside of the centre, but they are quite dangerous if you don't understand the landscape.
chicken is amazing when its the first cut. because you got there early, you got the best, crispy on outside and juicy inside cut. after then it goes downhill. lamb on the other hand is consistent.

A good sharwama place Is izmir restaurant ( 18 alum rock road ) By the way alum rock road is very busy so it isn't the best place to use a camera as there are a lot of people there
You went to tge wrong place ! Makan is around the corner there shawarma wraps are soo good. Btw i work on union street so have eaten at all the places in town and makan is better than shawarma city i find them too greasy
