Chase become omi obsessed starting from that episode. Also master monk Guan and Omi are right on one thing: what makes the warrior strong is not the weapon but the warrior holding the weapon.
1:28 Why does Chase Young wanna do a No weapon & or Shen Gong Wu Fight when doing a No Shen gong wu Showdown with Chase? Why only wager free will & do Only Martial Arts & Hand-to-Hand combat moves?
They used to be friends / rivals I believe and had a lot of respect for one another. So out of respect for their former friendship they wanted to rely only on their skills as combatants; no magic. It’s also why Chase kept to the promise when Guan won the showdown. He knew there was a chance Guan could win and Guan knew there was a chase he could lose.
Because that just gives Chase an advantage. He has more skills and physical strenght for martial arts fight than most of his opponents, but isn't as good with using shen gong wu.
It also comes down to chase just not liking them. He sees the use of Wu as a crutch. Toys and supports. He believes a true fight is with your own skills and weapon of choice, not mystical artifacts
I mean even with wudai ugrades it would still take 4 of them to fight him in most cases. Chase can literally catch their wind and fire and deflect it. Probably who ned a bit more effort against wudai variants. In the showdown where kimiko desguised as was in fighting chase and bean she had to hide her fire abilities which her puts back at the huge power gap against either of them
Bruh, season 3 weakened Wuya can 1-shot all 4 of the monks solely with her martial arts, while they are using Shen Gong Wu and their elemental powers. Then, Chase is way more powerful than Wuya after her second resurrection, it took both her and Hannibal simultaneously to overwhelm him during a Heylin Eclipse, which was reducing his powers significantly. End of season 3 monks are still not nearly as strong as those 2 you mentioned. Perhaps we should get seasons: 4, 5, 6 or so, in order to have it all settled.
No, just a legendary weapon (Spear of Guam). Guam used it during the great heylin battle to help defeat evil. He believed it was his source of strength but Omi helped him realize a weapon is just a tool. It is the wielder that gives it power. And Guam didn’t need his spear to triumph over evil.
Chase maybe on the haylin side. But there's no question that he's an honorable warrior who keeps his word.
Yeah,that's what makes him awesome
@@duncanfox2242 true. How many villains can say they keep their word
@@slanetroyard92 Not many
@@duncanfox2242 again true. Besides I can only think of a couple
@@slanetroyard92 like who ?
There's nothing I love more than villains who keep to the words of their deals.
You guys in the comments remember when cartoons used to be this cool? I think its time for us all to go back to all of that again.
Yes!👍👍👍
100%

What makes a warrior strong is not the weapan but the Warrior holding a weapon. That has stuck with me since childhood
This show needs a comeback
It's hard to believe that Guan and Clay have the same Voice Actor.
"I see you now for what you are and not what you pretend to be"
You see before you my true form without the benefit of my potion
What episode is this and what season is it? What's the title?
0:21-0:25, I love that roar.
this was way cooler when I was 12
jesus the amount of flashing lights in this show makes it unwatchable at times

Chase Young think weapons and Wu are cheap trick and not true strength aka martial arts and body strength.
It also comes down to chase just not liking them. He sees the use of Wu as a crutch. Toys and supports. He believes a true fight is with your own skills and weapon of choice, not mystical artifacts
Chase doesn't like using Wus during showdowns, he seeing as cluches, which is why he rarely uses one in a duel.

Back when the monk team were just rookies, totally outmatched by the likes of Chase and Wuya:
