I’m 4’11” and I’m top heavy. I had a wake up call on HP and the Forbidden Journey. It was so tight that I couldn’t breathe. Universal is a motivation for weight loss but sometimes our genetics is our genetics. My hubby struggled to get the green light for Velocicoaster. Happy Holidays!
This is very helpful. Some days I fit and on others I'm too swollen. I've been on gringotts thought it was tight and was able to pull it closer to me during the ride. When forbidden journey tilts, I'm more on my back I have more room. You never know til you try.
I went on velocicoaster yesterday and the team member who helped me test the seat said that the seats in row twelve (the last row) are more accommodating for plus size ppl I seen them move a bigger taller guy from the third row and took him to the 12th row also when it was time for me to get on the ride I requested row 12 and they were very helpful. Him and I both sat on the right hand seat in the last row the team member said that all even rows are more accommodating too
What are you measurements and weight
I do personally like how they want to help you as much as they can. For the Mummy I was advised to go on an outer seat since it was more accommodating
I was moved to the back row as I have a long torso. They told me that the headrest on the back seat are taller and was safer for me to ride. The guy who helped me was super helpful
Thanks for this video
Most welcome, thank you for watching!
I FIT ON THE RIDES!!!!
I noticed that the test seats were actually more restrictive that the ride itself. Even Velocicoaster felt that way.
This is incredibly helpful! Thank you!
So glad you enjoyed it!
26:40 Hagrids is so restrictive because of the height requirement. If they increase the size of the seats, the height requirement would go up and wouldn't allow younger kids to ride. And with it being so popular for families, it'd cause a lot of issues for Universal. Lots of good information though
Agree! Thank you so much for watching.
Thank you guys for this video. My family and i have a trip to Disney and Universal in a few months and though i am excited im also terrified at the thought of not being able to fit on anything. Now hearing that alot of people dont fit for many different reasons does make me feel a bit better 😅 and there is a chance i will fit on a few rides.
Absolutely! Thank you so much for watching and we are so glad to be able to help you. When you visit the parks, Just have fun despite fitting or not. There’s so much to see and do! Let us know how it goes ❤️
I love the way you start your intro! It’s brilliant
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Thanks you. I’m doing my best to lose weight for our trip in Sept this year. I’m same size as Mary ….2X top and bottoms.
My boyfriend fits in the Forbidden Journey test seat but not the actual ride. He has a wide back. And same for me with Hagrids. The test seat was smaller than than the ride and I have a bigger lower body
Thank you so much for this video. I watched it before I went to this park 2 months ago. I ended up with broken ribs on the Hulk roller Coaster, when one of the workers pushed so hard trying to make me fit in the regular size seat! I heard and felt a 'pop' and then a couple weeks later when my "bruised" ribs wouldn't heal, I got an xray that showed broken ribs. I had told the ride operator that I needed the bigger seat, but they just looked at me and said I would be fine. Then when I didn't fit... he said he was gonna "help me fit" by pushing on the restraint bar!!
Ouch, so sorry to hear about that. We hope that you continue to heal well. Thank you for watching and we hope our videos continue to help you out.
Great video! I'm a big guy, 5'5" but 225lbs (pants 42"x29"). I fit every ride in both parks EXCEPT Velocicoaster. I rode it once, squeezed in to a seat, but it was painful and difficult to breathe. Your videos are important! Thanks for your hard work!
Thank you so much for watching and for sharing your story.
Hey I'm 5'11 and 247lbs and my waist is 39 do you think I will fit all the rides
@@chillax8749 - Perhaps, but I would most certainly take advantage of the test seat outside of the queue. Good luck!
I’m sorry that happened however when I went last time I was 255 with a 40” waist and I’m only 5’7” I remember it being a little snug but nothing uncomfortable
Heyy im like 220 pounds and also 5’5 going in 3 days do you think I will fit??
You guys did an amazing job here with so much information!
Thank you very much. So glad to be able to help!
Thanks for the info, great information, I wonder if the seating in roller coasters in Disney is as restrictive as Universal? Like Rock N Roller Coaster, thanks again
So glad you liked it. No, Rock N Roller Coaster is not as restrictive, however, it is not as ínstense as the roller coasters in IOA.
according to this video, we are the same size and I remember at Kings Island, I did pass the test seat for Diamondback but i still went in the line with my nephew and I got on for kicks and giggles and fit perfectly.........Seat belt clicked and the harness clicked twice without them forcing
Thank you for doing this research for large dudes like me. So before i even go to any theme park specifically universal studios Hollywood since im in California lol, looks like if i just lose 100lbs more ill be able to get into anything. Well time to get to work then. Again i appreciate your honest info on this matter. 🙇♂️🙏
Thank you so much for watching. It’s not so much about the pounds but mostly about body type. Highly encourage you to always try it out.
@KoolKsAdventures i definitely will. Im 5ft 6in and weight 324lbs so im definitely in a weird shape at the moment i used to be about 380lbs until my doctor got really upset with me and told me that if i dont start trying to lose weight now, he wont help me anymore with my type 2 diabetes meds and OBS i would die. So since i got 3 kiddos my self i figured i would start doing something now. 😅 thanks again. I appreciate this alot.
A lot of my difficulty in fitting on the rides were my hips. I have a lot of muscle from my power lifting days. I’ve lost about 50 pounds since I was turned away. Very optimistic for my next trip.
Wish you the best. Keep trying , don’t give up. Hopefully, you will be able to fit soon. Thank you for watching!
Me encantan los videos midiendose los asientos ya que soy plus size
..si pudieran hacerlos subtitulados en español tambien seria genial
Hola! Gracias por ver nuestro video. Estamos pensando hacerlos en español pronto. Gracias!
Que bueno..les envio saludos y exito!
Thanks for this video imma try to squeeze on the mummy haha
New subscriber here... 6'5 with a fluctuating weight of 390-430 at the most. These videos are extremely helpful.
Hi! First, thank you for watching our videos, and welcome to our family. We truly hope that we continue to help you in all aspects. ❤️
My husband is 6'1" and he had no issues at Skull Island.
Gracias a ustedes por esto…ayuda muchisimo
I was embarrassed horribly on forbidden journey because everyone was watching and they shouted “she’s too big she doesn’t fit get her off”
De nada, para eso estamos. Espero que les haya gustado. Bienvenidos a nuestra familia!
Oh wow, that’s terrible 😭 I’m so sorry to hear that. Did you tell anyone or went to guest service? They shouldn’t have done that!
Just be safe out there! I'm a big lady, and I always feel crushed by those rubber chest pads that sometimes are present with the shoulder bar. It sometimes feels like it's a no-boob ride. 🙄 My goal is to lose weight just to be able to ride everything, but I know it's for safety, because of high speeds and gravity issues. Our weight makes a big strain on the body with those speeds.
When he said “they drop you from up there” 😂😂😂
I always like to get either a front row or back row ride on hulk (front for launch, back for intensity and whip), and usually you can choose your row, but one night there was assigned seating. I told them I needed a modified seat (keep in mind I'd rode it 20+ times that day always in the front or back and have a 30" waist) so the guy assigned me to row 4 lmao. He knew what I was doing
Definitely agree that the front is better than the back 😬 the kids experienced it not too long ago.
The front just makes the launch so good
I’m 6 feet 275 pounds. I really wonder how much I would fit onto some of these rides whenever there was a tight squeeze for me a good tip I have is taking off your belt if you’re wearing one it usually gives you a couple inches at most of extra room between you and the restraint
Definitely, a great tip. Always try the ride seat no matter what would be ours, as you would be surprised!
Went on our first trip to Universal a month ago. Of all the rides with test seats I was only able to fit in the motorbike seat on Hagrids (not the side car). My wife couldn't ride any of them. We were very disappointed. (5'11", 285#)
So sorry to hear that. Trust us, we completely understand. Thank you so much for watching
I’ve been debating a universal vacation but this comment has helped concrete sticking to a Disney package!
Thank you for sharing
Really good video. Very well done. Sad to say it's all the Manufacturers fault. I can ride some of the Coasters in Florida but not at Cedar Point and they are made by the same Manufacturer. Florida is way more Fat Friendly than any other State. I'm 5' 9" about 260 with a Beer Belly. About 50" around.
Thank you so much for watching. Yes, we keep hearing the same thing . It is unfortunate 😔.
Amazing informative video! Ms. Mary is a rockstar with all her tips and tricks, my goodness 👏👏👏❤️
Thank you so much for watching. We are so glad to be able to help. ❤️
Her fitting in the regular seat on forbidden journey, when I'm about her size (again as they say preportions matter though!) that at very least I would be fine in the modified!
That, combined with the fact that I know I don't need a seatbelt extender to fit on the small European budget airlines gives me a peace of mind 😅
You realise that it's not just about fitting - it's about the forces on the body during the ride or if anything goes wrong? Test seats may be smaller than actual ride seats to compensate for the forces you're going to be experiencing. Please don't try and squeeze onto rides that barely fit - it's not safe!
You guys just made the decision for me to not go to Universal. I wanna go to Harry Potter but if I can't do everything what's the point you know?
We completely understand. However, keep in mind that even when we can’t ride the attractions, we still have a blast. The theming is like no other, walking the queue lines is also amazing, and trying some of the specialty food can be a nice experience. Hope you feel encouraged to at least try it once. Thank you so much for watching!
Brother......you are only about 60 pounds from being able to enjoy these attractions. That's 6 months.
Deeze nuts?
You are making the children's amusement ride unsafe for everyone
