It might have something to do with all the rapeseed fields that I see on the side of the road everywhere here in Saxony. I have a hunch that it's a subsidised crop because of how prevalent it is. So.. we might be paying for that price difference with taxes rather than with cash 😅
Hi. It depends on what you value in a meat product. I personally like Aldi. They have a decent variety of meat cuts and meat products, their price is good value, the products tasted good, they have organic options as well. For a larger range of options (venison, duck, cured meats etc..), I would recommend Globus and Kaufland. They have a butcher and fishmonger section in addition to the prepackaged options. Kaufland is the more budget friendly option.

Interesting prices for 1 litre of vegetable oil.£1.79 in the Uk at the local Aldi.€1.39 in Germany.
