  • Hello, everybody! Today I will make a miniature table bio fireplace from very simple materials. It is a concrete pot from the used table candle, an old glass candle holder, glass decorative stones and bioethanol which is used for home bio fireplace.

An ethanol fireplace (also bio-ethanol fireplace, bio fireplace), is a type of fireplace which burns ethanol fuel. They are often installed without a chimney. Ethanol for these fires is often marketed as bioethanol (ethanol produced from biomass).
A simple glass ethanol burner or spirit lamp
The main part of the fireplace is the burner. The burner is a container filled with fuel. Ethanol fireplaces should be operated with care, since ethanol is highly flammable, and severe burn accidents can happen, mostly while refilling or lighting the fireplace, even when safety instructions are followed.
Emissions from ethanol fireplaces include carbon dioxide and nitrogen dioxide, volatile organic compounds, and particulate emissions, which are released into the room.[6] Ethanol fireplaces - irrespective of the type of fuel used - are a source of fine and ultrafine particles and have a considerable influence on the quality of the indoor air; ventilation reduces the effect. Ethanol may also generate odors. Burning hydrocarbons causes indoor air pollution. Emissions include airborne particulate matter (such as black carbon) and nitrogen oxides. These harm health; some forms of fuel are more harmful than others.

If you're going to make this, avoid glass, use a metal can. Also, if you put it out and leave it in the open, the unburned fuel will evaporate. You can half fill the fuel container with carbon felt or fiberglass insulation packed tight, which will act as a wick, and prevent any fuel spills. In this case, you'd have to store the entire pot in a zip lock bag to prevent evaporation.

DO NOT USE GLASS...the contrasting cold ethanol inside a glass cup which is burning very hot at the top will crack or even explode the glass containing the burning ethanol, which will now either be all over your room, on fire...or you will have a fire leaking out of the crack which will be difficult to contain without quick thinking. Even the concrete can do this... make sure to buy all the right things. There is a largeee difference between cement and High Heat Furnace cement

Seen a couple jars of it on my way through menards yesterday, and my friends house has a fireplace with them inside.
