possible to have a more detailed Q&A and sharing more about it? the house tours was nice nonetheless, but would be keen to know more things like when planning to rent as a group such as choosing a place, rental agreements, communicating with them to prevent any clashes etc
Love that their house looks so real, seeing photo after photo of "perfect" looking influencer's homes makes me feel so sian sometimes. Thank you for normalising normal and realistic living spaces ❤️
As someone who constantly gives away (bless) free stuff on Carousell. It's heartening to know that people actually take them and use it.
It’s interesting how more Singaporeans are open to moving out and living independently despite the cost of rent in Singapore! Kudos to adulting!
Jon is so smart with his room space. If only I can tolerate living with other people, I would be able to save a lot with rent.

maybe chow should have a challenge on smth like furnish a house with the least amount of money possible
Tip for perfectly fit TV: add strong double sided tape or sticky tack to the bottom of the tv feet. One could also add wood trimming that can act as a tiny fence. Hope this helps prevent accidental TV falls when one hits the shelf by accident :D

The rental costs so much it sets you back quite a bit when you want to purchase a house in the future.. I think it's alright for short term but renting till you get your own house is.. quite tough IMO

As landlords - yes more demand for our hdb and it's pushing our rent even higher. Rental have gone up between 100-400 ever since Covid.

how does chow transport all the carousell/2nd hand furniture?
I want to rent with my friends and it seems fun to be adulting together. BUT I know cant tolerate people's mess and I want to buy my own place when I'm in my 30s. So, saving the money to buy and renovate for my future home that I can say its mine would be a better option.
May I know how long they are renting the flat for? All those works such as the furnitures and planning for the rooms are bound to be gone one day once they stop renting. Seems abit shag sia

The amount they have to pay for rent is the comfortable range for earning adults who are single and may want to get their own home in future. Rental now so bloody expensive! The moment I see above $1000 for 1 person, I swipe. Currently I stay in a 2 room flat with my partner paying only $1250. We got the whole unit and we refuse to pay more. 😂

I want my girl to move out also because they do things at night and I do things in the morning, every night they will come out cook eat play when we are going to sleep. I got 4 girl, 2 got married at the age of 24 and now my number 3 is coming 24… me and my husband also want freedom and enjoy our life. I don’t know to worry about them if they are eating or helping them clean their room… My daughter also watch his episode she said that she so good to stay with us see other children want to move out…. But I said don’t want…because me want to enjoy my life also that no worry no stress that they got eat or not.. 🤣🤣🤣

TSL must be paying their employees VERY WELL. How else to afford paying rent and daily expenses/ savings? Especially chow - 1.1k in rent!!
hmm I don't think that TSL pays them to that extent, but I think it's definitely the perks of being a talent in TSL that helped their income; like the income they get from their social media & personal advertisements which is because more ppl know them through TSL.
We don't know how much of her take home salary % 1.1k is. It could be 30%, 40% or even 50%, which possibly translates to an average pay. What is your idea of "VERY WELL"? Sounds like you haven't started working... haha
Chow is an influencer also, and she got a lot of paid promoted posts.
I'm sure the paid posts only could pay for her rent and more.
1.1k is not alot tbh. see your priorities. if you land a 3k job as a fresh grad you COULD manage it. scrapping the bottom but is doable.

hmm i mean different couples have their own set of boundaries and i think the gf isn’t uneasy about it as moving into a flat takes a lot of time! if she were uneasy she would have told john i think

for a lot of reasons! some people may not have good relationships with their family, parents' house too small, desire to have their own privacy etc. :)
