Happy to hear you both dug Exhuma! That ended up maintaining its top spot on my horror list this year. Totally agree on the nesting egg comparison - it has a lot of layers within. I was particularly fond of its use of the elements and how they each come into play (both with the weapons and the anima).
I had a few films from your recommendations but I couldn't get to all of them, you can't catch them all, off the top of my head I almost pulled the trigger on I want to say king tide? But yes thank you for recommending exhuma
Good stuff -- a few I definitely need to check out. Heretic and Strange Darlings were both amazing and great to rewatch as well. I wonder if you saw "Kinds of Kindness" -- I think you guys might like the strangeness of it. -jesse

We missed kinds in the theater and haven't gotten to it yet, that director has some amazing films so I'm curious to check it out
Exhuma was a great atmospheric movie. I'll have to check out Red Rooms. I would recommend Sleep (dir. Jason Yu) if you haven't seen it.
Thanks for the recommendation I haven't seen that!
