Thanks for the video. The explanation was clear, and the time taken to detail the several steps in completing the task, made a very worthwhile lesson. Keep them coming.
Hi i can brush a zone for a clone and i can put my reference point ** but ** WHICH key are you pressing to complete the clone ?? Nothing happens with my selection ? thank you for your answer
Hi Ming, Capture one pro 12 is out with Fujifilm simulation :)) Waiting for you update regarding FILM SIMULATION. If possible please make a tutorial, how you post process your images from scratch. Thank you.
@@MingCai No I discovered you need the full version for healing and cloning etc.. Not sure about the Capture one Express, having a problem with the program reading my external drive but thanks for the response.
I have an image that is almost exactly like your. I have followed every syllable of your explanation. I have tried it about 15 times. Does not work. At approx 3:55 you press M to not show mask and your wire has disappeared. Not when I do it. The wire is still there. There must be part of the workflow that you have not included. There is one part of the video that I hear a definite keyboard click but without explanation. Please help. Very very frustrating. BTW I have also looked at the on line help and followed those directions and cannot get it to work.
Thank you, it's helpful indeed. But I think Affinity Photo with the inpainting brush tool is faster and better too. You can launch Affinity Photo within C1 converted to a PSD-file so it keeps the edits you made in C1 and file it back to C1 as a PSD-file. Affinity Photo is a cheap and powerful app (close to PS). If you have the opportunity and time it's worth checking it out, Ming :))
@@WhittyPics You are applying a d"dumb" mask over an area without any channel subtleties - that's gotta be (read: massively) more destructive than masking via channels. And remember Photoshop layers are non destructive!
Just edit in Photoshop and use the healing brush tool. Don't waste your time in Capture One for this type of modification. Capture One 12 is a elegant RAW editor period.
that's a lot of waste of time with so many layers......in Lightroom is way faster just with the brush......and the worst thing of all is that i just bought the license of capture one........the workflow sucks.... :/
Recently changed from LR to C1 also...coming with my Fuji Gear...and lots to learn. Keep the C1 videos coming!
Randy Pollock sure thing!

Thank you Roger for your question which turned into this video :)
Your videos are the best its simple and straight and you dont mess around with dont do that and dont do this . As they do in many other tutorials
Alf Ryhn Thank you very much😁
Thanks so much bro.. I learned something new in capture one.. nice explain and example.. really easy to understand
Great video, Ming! I am a Fuji X-T2 shooter and I am switching to Capture One. I will be watching more of your helpful videos!!
LuAnn Thatcher I am also a Fuji X-T2 user switched from Lightroom
Thank you so much for your efforts to expand our knowledge with excellent tutorial. I hope you will continue to educate us.

Thank you💚
Great tutorial, thanks
David Bon you are welcome!
Thanks for the help. I tried figuring it out but couldn't find out. Figured it out at "adjustment" time 1:40
Well done.
Very clear and easy to follow, thank you!
Very helpful video. Thank you.

Can you change the size of the brush with keys or the mouse wheel?
Does your reference point follow your linear mask until reset? By the way great videos.
Dr. Lopuck, DDS yes it follows. 😁
Great thanks Ming. Can you do this in Capture one Express?
Pixels hmm I don’t think Express comes with layers.

Can you stitch panos in C1?
Nope, C1 is still unable to stitch panos, I use Photoshop now to stitch panos.
I use C1 for almost for everything and for panorama I use Microsoft ICE. It is free and works better IMO than other paying software.

Martin Meijer Thank you Martin! So Affinity is Photoshop alternative?
Isn’t photoshop much easier and better for that sort of stuff? Or am I missing something?
Photoshop seems easier but I prefer to do as much as possible in my processing program and keep them all as RAW edits.

Why use over-priced, invasive Adobe products, when Capture One does a better job?
Better to do it in photoshop..!

That's why you test first the trial version of the software tirelessly before buying it.
