What a fantastic itinerary for 9 days.....you both experienced so much, a nice mix of on the go sightseeing and relaxation time. Great tips for fellow travelers:)
Thanks so much, glad to hear!
Great itinerary 😊did you travel hand luggage only for domestic flights or dic you leave suitcases in a lock up
Thanks:) For domestic flights, we only brought carry-ons with us and didn't have to check luggage.
Great vlog I'm thinking of going in December I'm just worried about the hot weather and crowds hopefully not to crowded and humid.
Thank you, I think December is a good month - we were there in early November, and the weather wasn’t too hot or humid.
Beautiful vlog guys ,loved it , brought back my memories of those islands too 👍💙💙
I’m so glad to hear that! Thank you for watching :)
@@NewYorkerJuhui You're always welcome 🌺🌺
Thank you! This is the most helpful video I found on TH-cam! Which hotel did you stay in Chiang Mai?
Thank you! I’m glad you asked! It was called Green Tiger House: www.greentigerhouse.com/
@@NewYorkerJuhui thank you so much for the info, I just booked this hotel!
Which room had that gorgeous view at The Standard?
Unfortunately I can't remember the room number, but I believe most (if not all) rooms have the floor-to-ceiling windows like this one!
As a person planning a trip to Thailand in a month your videos have been super helpful. In this video you mentioned the Lantern Festival which I will be attending in Chiang Mai on my trip. Have you released that video yet? I am curious to learn how you did it, if you went with the big tour operators for CAD or if you found a more local and affordable option. I heard lantern release is prohibited in certain parts of Chiang Mai so wanted to know what would be your advice.
Thanks for your comment, I’m glad to hear this video was helpful! I will post a video about the Yi Peng festival in a couple of weeks, but for now, here’s a short answer. I did go to the CAD event. It is expensive option, but I think it was worth the money. I heard there were less expensive or even free event too. But the tricky part is, as you mentioned, sky lantern festival is not allowed in the city. You will have to go to somewhere outside the city to fly a burning lantern to the sky. And the CAD event was a bit expensive, but it was well-organized and safe event (there was a fire truck standing by) with food and transportation included. Also, I thought they did a good job creating a nice ambiance for the festival in the middle of nowhere. I would recommend CAD event if you want to secure a ticket in advance (you can buy tickets online) and want to experience this event with a big crowd. I will share more about my experience in upcoming video. If you have more questions, let me know!
Thank you so much for the prompt response! I appreciate you sharing this information even prior to posting your video on the topic. Most people would make viewers wait until the video comes out to build anticipation. For this reason, and because your content is great, I will subscribe to your channel. I can see you truly care about adding value and helping others have a great travel experience and are not just here for the subscribers/views. Thank you for your honesty and keep up the good work, looking forward to more videos and the Lantern Festival one! Thank you!@@NewYorkerJuhui
@newyorkerjuhui as we wait for that video do you mind sharing which ticker you purchased for the festival, standard, VIP or premium? I'm between the VIP and standard but I'm unsure if paying the extra cost for the VIP would really be worth it, or if I'll still get a great experience in standard. Please let me know if you get a chance. I'd kindly appreciate it!
@@shylanight I don’t think there is a significant difference between the two tiers. Maybe you get more variety of food (VIP has a separate food corner) and better seating? And maybe a better transportation? We chose the standard ticket. Our ride was an open pick-up truck and we had like 5-10different basic Thai food and drinks. I personally felt that was a more authentic experience, and I didn’t feel like I was missing out on a better experience. Hope it helps you make a decision!
@NewYorkerJuhui Good to know, Thank you! Looking forward to your video before my trip! 🥰
