BattleBit is so unironically fun and such a breath of fresh air from the FPS games we have at the moment. Like jev was saying how to maps feel like they have players even the smaller modes like dom and such are chaotic for like 32v32. Map design was so well done in this game

For a while I listened to the progress of this game on the discord. The devs were incredibly open during playtests on what they where changing etc. They also all worked their asses off. Very glad to see that it got jev is giving it some recognition. Most open devs ever. They only want the game to succeed.
The best part of this game is the voice chat because you will have people screaming like they are actually dying, there are bullets landing next to you and explosions everywhere. It’s like a cubic PTSD sim

It's only automatically on when getting killed it's push to talk(V-all prox,B-squad) otherwise when alive... Don't remember if you can change it to "always on" in the menu but I don't remember seeing it when I looked for it earlier today

Would love to see more BattleBit. Been following its development for a while now and have been wishing for its success. There’s a weapon skin grind in the game too.
The big advertisement wasn't the high 200+ player servers. They didn't start doing those until the large scale testing happened, and that was to stress test the servers. Now that's just a normal game mode. The best parts are the comparisons to Battlefield and games like Squad, while also being easy to run and having actual environmental destruction.
Coming from a battlefield fan who’s been playing since BF4, this game is how I expected 2042 to be. At least in terms of scale, destruction, and weapon variety/customization.
256 player war is still low if you look at historical wars and where it took place. Just look at iconic battle paintings and see how was it look like. There were battles in history, took many tens of thousands lives in a single day of war, 10-15 leaders and commanders at each side with 10-15 divisions everyone having their own mission and location to take or protect. Battles happens in lines, not a funnel to a single point. As long as you have a good maps designed for that, it must feel like a real battle simulation. They should get inspirations from historic wars and recreate the field from it. I understand the huge selling part of this game is destructible environment but you can still achieve that with destructible ground and trenches or couple villages or towns here and there. Also having objective points A to G is not enough, 36 player at each objective point is a bit much because if you not balance the map correctly, there would be some objective points with 5 players while some of them get hot with 50 plus players. In this particular map, they seemed to have a moba layout with 3 ways and that creates inconsistent playar distribution between objectives.

@Magicbeatz Literally everything from the ground up of Battlebit's gameplay is classic Battlefield mixed with the better parts of other games. If all you can see looking at videos of it is Roblox I just genuinly feel sorry for you because the gameplay loop and the overwhelmingly positive reception of it every time it has had stress tests speaks for itself, but then again new gamers can't enjoy games that don't look like real life so I guess I shouldn't be surprised at such a low IQ comment that doesn't even understand why people play this in ridiculous numbers every time it launches for the public to play.

It's shoking and ironic how a dev team of 3 can pull off what big studios couldn't in the past 2 decades. This is a perfect example of: "it doesn't have to be photorealistic in order to make it fun, just ma ke it works as the players expect"
I wouldn't recommend this game as they will ban you for voice chat that is forcefully enabled when you die, so if you say something bad as you're dying you will get banned for it. Absolutely ridiculous.
