    Such a good video. I’ve been a RN nurse for 2 year. I’ve worked inpatient pysch and clinical supervisor at an ambulatory clinic. Over 20 years in the medical field and a Masters in Organizational Leadership. In the midst of negotiations now.

    Pay transparency is so important. A nurse I worked with was PRN & making $1 less than my new grad RN pay. I wish she should’ve known to ask for more.

    Great video! I just interviewed for a RN Case Manager Position at a large regional medical center. I have been an RN for 24 years, most of which I have worked in critical care (15 years in the ED). For the last 4 years I have worked as a hospice Case Manager where I currently make $85,000. I’m hoping to get offered 87,000- 90,000 in this new acute care CM role. What are your thoughts, is this realistic?

    • @nursed.porchae990

    Hi Nurse D. I have 17.5 yrs as an RN with supervision in home care and skilled nursing experience throughout my career. I started in med surg telemetry and have worked in several fields of nursing as well as doing visiting nursing for 7 yrs which is where I got the idea to become a casemanager because I was already doing it pretty much as a visiting nurse and a supervisor.
    The job offers $62,0000- $132,000
    I believe I should ask for $125,000 given yrs experience, Epic experience as well and supervision experience.
    What do you think I should ask for?

    • @nursed.porchae990
      @nursed.porchae990  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Sami,
      You have alot of years of experience, but doesn't sound like you have case management experience. It is a little different and so they may not look at you as an experienced CM. I think you should land within the 80-120k range. I would ask for $125 so that you're at the higher end of the range.

    Hi is there anyplace a RN can get training in current hospital Case Management Systems, EPIC, and Interqual? I am interested in possibly inpatient to remote hospital CM and have many years of CM experience but none for inpatient/hospital. Thanks.

    • @nursed.porchae990
      @nursed.porchae990  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ann! Unfortunately, there isn't anywhere to get this training without 1st being employed. That was my frustration. I called the InterQual company and they told me they do not offer training outside of employment. The only other place I know is a group I'm in on Facebook. I believe the ladies there offer the training or similar training. I will find the name and get back to you
