The 1920 Australian penny is very interesting. In that year there were a number of different varieties with dots above and below the lower scroll depending where the coin was minted. Some of the varieties are very rare and valuable so it might well be worth taking a look at the coin under a microscope to see exactly which type you have. I think yours is probably a dot below the lower scroll variety which makes it Sydney minted and fairly common.

Always love your Penny give away. Yes, you are right about the new 5p I noticed that when they were first show. Maybe the designer was not au fait with the pre decimal coins of George V.

Some of those sixpences were in fabulous condition. Loved the marbling of the 1920 coin too.
Not much on the early end, no key dates this time either. That 1881H is easy one to find, the no H is much harder to get. I did just finish Whitman book 4 today!

The 67’s didn’t dominate the hunt, but certainly there was a lack of variation, not so many pre 1900’s sadly, that being said, a very good £14 spent,

There were plenty of 1962 to 1967 pennies in this batch. Hopefully you will find alot of 1800’s pennies next time😅
Not a bad fill up for a smaller lot. Seems like less 1967 coins than I would expect

Since finding these videos a few weeks ago I've bought an album and sorted through my childhood collection. Then today I found myself rooting through boxes of coins in a charity shop leaving with 6 George V silver sixpences, a George V shilling and 2 Victorian pennies. What have you done to me?😂

It would be great to find a source of British coins here in the States. So I'll continue my search and hopefully cherry pick some rare varieties.
Im stacking these now along with any bronze penny pre 1992. A bronze 2p now scraps for 2.8p per coin. You can get the old pennys for like £2 per kilo from brittania coin company, possibly even cheaper elsewhere, bronze currently scraps for £3.80 per kilo.

I have quite a few thruppenies and sixpence but I didn’t realise until today, the significance of the number of acorns and oak leaves. I also noticed that the George VI thrupennies have three thrift flowers. I wonder now if there’s any other coins with objects on them that indicate a numeric value .

Good to see a new hunt, really sucks when you lose a supplier or dealer. Over the last several years I've lost about 10 dealer friends either to death or retirement.

Thank you for making me purchase my first batch of pre decimal coins. 950g for 7.99. Not expecting much but it is a start. Always loved the feel of the old coins, and to think, if they where still legal tender that would be a lot of money to have. And yes I do want to be in the giveaway
G'day Paul great to see some pennies again the 1923 Australian penny has a mintage of 3,635 a little low but as we know it comes down to condition a VF about $50 Australian dollars there is a nice variety in this box lets hope you can get some more pennies 🤞 a very enjoyable video cheers mate.

Hi man ,i love your chanel and your love for this coins you know that coin collecting is not just abought gold,silver and expensive coins .I am from a small country and here i dont have many ways to buy coins just if i see them on our local site for people to post some ads and with slightly higher prices, but what can be done,i like these coins ,so i buy them when i have money ,since i am very young and currently unemployed because im still going to school I was extremely surprised when I found your channel and when I saw how you go through so many of these coins that I like to collect by date I don't know how you get so many at once it is honestly my dream to go through a bunch of coins like this and organize them in my collection, I honestly understand why you won't say how you get them, even though I admit that I would like to know. So I will at least try my hand at this prize game, if I can at least win this collection, if God willing I win, I will leave my instagram and gmail through which you can to let me know thank you for your efforts for these clips, keep it up.♥
