My man really praised moonveil but trashed Rivers of Blood, lol ok
river of blood is really easy to dodge. moonveil can sometimes be trouble some to dodge but i would say they are both kinda bad in an actual 1v1.
its simple: moonveil is one of the better swords for a mage/int player. Looks and sounds dope. Rivers is just a meh bleeding tool, as if there arent any better weapons/weapon combinations to make bleed work wonders and feel fresh to play against (dual greatswords infused with bleed, now here its get interesting!)

Even after nerf, RoB is still pretty good. Not OP, but well balanced. Corpse Piler is still the better bleed version of Double Slash. Even though Radagon and Elden Beast was immune to Hemorrhage, I could still get them as RoB also does fire damage (Not the AoW tho) and Radagon has zero resistance to fire, Elden Beast has the least resistance to fire.

Nagakiba with Spinning Slash and Bloodflame Blade carried me my entire playthrough… Used Blackflame Blade on it to slay the final boss and thought “We did it, Old Man Yura… We did it.”
Try nagakiba with unsheathe ash of war on a fresh play through but just kill yura the first time u see him to get it lol
Used black fireball and malikeths blade on first phase spammed pest threads on second, and it tore through them, i was putting my sign down for a long time to help others after realizing i didnt have to ng yet, i tried out a couple builds with my respecs too lmao, i went in as ranni a couple times changed my appearance and everything 😂

@accomplice7 yeah that was forever ago when i first beat final boss, I used it on the scorpion boss right in that area after getting pest thread spears to damage test and it seemed to be doing less damage than pest threads and i was really bummed because I was excited for it, but it worked just fine on other giant bosses so idk what exactly was happening

Uchigatana is still one of the best 10 years after the first dark souls
Not in Elden Ring tho.
Uchigatana has a worse range compared to that of Nagakiba.
Nagakiba has the same dmg output but way more insane range.
So, Uchigatana is only good for early game.
Dual wielding both is the best option but again, uchigatana has worse range than most katanas u get in elden ring
It was good in Demons souls too.

One of my favourites
It's certainly cool-looking to say the least, but it kinda drops off in usefulness toward the later game. It also doesn't help that it's obtained from one of the most annoying areas in the game.
The unfortunate truth of it is, even with the buffs it got just about any normal katana put together with Frozen Armament or the Freezing Mist AoW will do a better job than that thing. It's cool to look at, but that's about all.

Dragonscale is really good honestly.
hand of malenia is objectively better than any other physical katana because it has the second highest reach and the best physical scaling but because of the weapons skill being only usually good against enemies with the poise of a disabled six year old and just the pure pain it takes to get it makes the ranking pretty understandable. i still fucking love it tho. (also was malenia nerfed she took me like 8 tries and i thought she was supposed to be some sort of impossible challenge)

@@warrencohn123 Well that’s fair but the fact you can change Ashes also means you can change its affinity as well. Giving it a lot of versatility and allowing it to use different types of damage depending on your character.

For what it does, it’s not worth the hassle of getting it. Especially when another weapon type does the same thing and is easier to get by comparison. Not a bad weapon, not by any means, just not worth it especially on your first playthrough.

Dragonscale is so underrated, the cold lighting is awesome and I don’t think there’s any other blue lightning things in the game except for the one aoe incantation
I think people would like Dragonscale more if it had an ACTUALLY unique ash of war instead of lightning slash: blue edition. The Convergence mod changes the Ash on it to an actually unique animation and it slaps.

@@CreamToast it's like a way cooler Unsheathe, but with a follow up stab. You sheathe the sword, draw it and do a cool double-slash, and then do a stabbing follow-up which obliterates poise meters. i recommend just playing convergence, finding the sword, and seeing for yourself, because it's really cool
Nagakiba is effectively a direct upgrade that trades a tiny bit of damage to be strictly better in every other regard.

Ok, i disgagree somewhat, yes Nagakiba and uchi is strong but the others aren't trash, while some weapons like Moonveil ARE carried by one move (transient moonlight) weapons like ROB (hear me out) at least have better bleed build-up, so they aren't just carried by corpse piler, Hand of Malenia is i think the 2nd longest katana making it a better uchi imo and the meteoric ore blade is great for strength builds (i think it scales with strength)
@@justorivarolaWith same level - occult Uchigatana has more bleed on regular attacks and more damage(due to RoB split damage it has higher number but lower resulting damage). So no, RoB is literally carried by its unique ability.

I think every katana is good only one that isn't as good now is moonveil but it's still strong all of the katanas are good just some more then others
Fun fact about the Serpent Bone Blade, as well as any weapon with innate poison: they all proc a status effect called “Deadly Poison”, which actually does on average about 4-7 more points of damage that Scarlet Rot, to a player.

@@deuceyd8468 Post-nerf RoB is severely underrated, imo. Corpse Piler isn't spam-able like it used top be, but it still has monstrous range, great speed and huge bleed damage. It's still VERY good.
